hmm any one remember gba ,,[QUOTE="Gen007"]why are people so scared that new systems are coming out these systems have only been out for what 3 years now if a new xbox were coming out next year this would be the shortest gen ever. Ask yourself why would have MS took the time to make the NXE if they were just gonna release a new system a year or two from now.mariokart64fan
if not you surely remember ds lite, lol 2006 it came out , now ds i is coming 2009-three years later,
oh and the psp 2000 came in 07 ,,, the 3000 is already out ,
lol
can we say xbox 1 2001-2005 thats 4 years
usually a console last 5 , , or close to six , like gc, it still was being produced for a short time in 07 ,
so ya, 2001-2007 six years total,
ps2-2000 -to be determined lol
so ya you xbox fans have a short life expectancy of all ,
4 yrs , 360s 3 right now ,
so ya november 21st 2009 release at the earliest 2011 at the latest
Um, the next gen for Microsoft will not be next year period. Why, it's doing good now. The Valhalla and Jasper chipsets are just upgrades on the 360 to where the manufacturers can do so at a more cost effective margin. And using the timeline of the original Xbox as a barometer for the lifespan of the 360 is ridiculous. The only reason for Xbox 1 was to get their feet in the water for Microsofts real goal, getting a fix on the market for the 360. They tried things with the original Xbox, namely Xbox Live mostly (though there were other things they learned) to where they could apply them to the success of the 360. The next gen system for Microsoft will be at the earliest 2010, or latest 2012. All depending upon how this gen keeps tracking. I'm willing to bet 2011, though this time they will support the older 360, as opposed to dropping the original Xbox. The reason for that drop was as I stated before, their intended focus was for the 360 and the original was just used to help it out. There will be support for the 360 next gen for a couple years due to its success and current base.
