@Lord_Sesshy: You can "switch" between english and japanese if you download the free update. As to the combat, this has been an issue since the very first game.
Both X and Xenoblade 1 have a lackluster sense of combat. The writing can be great and the world building is next level, but damn the monotony of combat.
I can understand if the game is a procedural rogue-lite (or like) where you can never truly win. But this is CRASH! I love Gamespot but this idea of reviewing only up to a certain point means making assumptions about the game.
While you can get an informed decision on the game play loop, there are things that can easily be missed. I think I found Reboot's new topic of discussion, should games be completed?
Imagine you only played up till a certain point with The Last of Us or Bioshock or Spec Ops the Line. But didn't bother to beat the game to see those endings. Sort of brings them down a notch, doesn't it?
@Snowx1: You know you have a point. Tonally the two series are different. While World of Warcraft takes the events of the RTS, it had no qualms with being goofy.
From what I have seen Glory kills have the positive of health and ammo however you are granted a small amount of invincibility frames during them. Meaning while you aren't dying during the glory kill you can easily die coming out. Sucks but it does make you think about when to do them.
