Today I traded in my PS2. The system I have had since launch. It has been good to me over these past few years but it is time to move on, move on to a next-gen console.

I walked into EB Games this afternoon carrying my PS2 and wearing black. The flag was lowered to half-mast as a trumpet played Taps.

I traded in my PS2, 17 PS2 games, 3 PSP games, two 8MB memory cards, two dualshock controllers, and a USB headset. I walked out with $114 of store credit that will soon help buy me an Xbox 360.

I salute you PS2, lasting 8 years is a feat no console will ever live up to.

.. Since I've blogged something. Like anyone even reads them. Anyway, I felt its been nearly a year since my last blog post, so I might as well. Lets see, whats new in gaming... I got a new PC, very fast. I also got a PSP. Right now I'm waiting for Call of Duty: World at War. Along with Fallout 3, Farcry 2, and Resistance: Retribution.

Also, I'm planning to get a Xbox 360 for Christmas.

I started off playing the first Playstation with games such as Jet Motto and Gran Turismo. I wasn't that great usually losing races. My brother and my dad helped me, though. Around then I wasn't seriously into gaming. When the Playstation 2 came out my dad got one right away. I still only played racing game though, but I was getting better. But it wasn't until 2004 when I got a slim PS2 did I really get into gaming. I started playing shooters like Star Wars Battlefront and Call of Duty. I then kept getting games like SOCOM and Medal of Honor. Now my collection is huge. But then the next-gen came and I was going to get a Xbox 360 because PS3 were priced to high, but I then heard about Xbox 360 failure rates and was stuck. But then my dad got a new powerful computer and game it to me. Now I play Call of Duty games and Battlefield games and RTS games. I'm still collecting and hoping to get a PS3 someday.

I have been using Gamespot for awhile now and about a month ago thought I should join. And as you can see I have. So far its been great. I've reviewed some games and rated others. I have posted on the fourms ranting about games and talking to people. I hope to talk more about games, review more, and meet people. So, heres to gaming. :D
