So I did a quick catch up on recent wrestling syuff, ins and outs and what have you in preperation of last nights "ECW" debut, andĀ the only thing ECW about it was some of the wrestlers. the story was way too WWE, the actual wrestling didn't start untill 21 min into the show, the thing with the exhibitionist was stupid and clearly no one did research into exhibitionisum, it's not the same as eroitc dancing. (they couldn't even find a girl that knew who to take a bra off, she tried 8 times and gave up and just slid it up!) the matches were half-arsed big time, too much WWE and WAY too many recaps. the plan to bring back DX in WWE is a good idea, also well implimented but neds to grow out the stable a bit, it was never just 2 people. the feud of kane/fake kane is also a good idea, like the undertaker/undertaker fued but you can tell these guys apart. I hope it leads to re-masking kane.
TNA is really starting to lose my intrest with the repeting storylines and more and more of the "non-stop action" fading into the WWE-esc soap oprah garbage. it's time to cut down on PPVs and pick up more talent so the story can stretch better.
a though occered to me recently, if WWE is going forĀ the "old-school is money" angle then maybe the "reality show" bishoff is supposedly working on is in actuality WCW and ince is just trying to completely wipe out TNA by using every day of the week, WWE on MON, SAT, FRI and the occasional SUN & ECW on Tuesday and shared SUN. right now TNA has thursday and wednesday but if WCW were to say return on WED and ECW picks up THU then where would TNA be?
this all feels very familure...
oh, and why re-hire jamal as some new guy? wasn't he fired for getting in a REAL bar fight and hurting some guy?
the race is on too see who can hire the most talent I guess.... TNA keeps snagging more old-schoolers, WWE keeps doing the same. with ECW active (under WWEs money curtian) will they be doing the same?
thats my 2 cents.
