Above all the Wii is next gen, but in a parallel universe with our own. I own a 360 and PS3 to play traditional games with online play, good single player stories and great visuals, not graphics themselves, but physics, AI and special effects. These 2 consoles compete with each other DIRECT because they offer a lot of the same genre, even though they do hold a bunch of exclusives worthwhile.

Now in universe 2 you have the Wii, cheaper for the casual market who want simple easy games, which isn't what i'm into and why I'll probably never buy a wii. Now I'm not saying I don't like the console, but I don't like the games. My friend brought his over once, we played for maybe 30-40 minutes, and soon after he was itching to play some Resistance Online (taking turns) It's just not my thing, especially when Nintendo can't seem to produce anything other than Mario, Wario, Metroid and SSB, games i've played before and not presenting much new other than how you play.
