i've never tried but i think this works.

1. create a new folder 'usermap' here: Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\, create another folder "mp_custom" in usermap folder and copy your downloaded map files inside.

2. copy the map files here: Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\zone\english

3. open file: players\profiles\xxx(your profile name)\config_mp, then add the line: set rcon_password "xxx" ( xxx is your OP), save, set to read only.

4. run the game, start a new server, select a random map

5. open the console, enter: /rcon login xxx (xxx is OP), then enter: /rcon map mp_custom

then everything's ok.

any problems, don't ask me - i don't know either.

I was looking for a game with sniper that you can hide somewhere in the city or something like that so... cs is out of the question
Plus i now some really good games with that stealth sniping :)

most of the games hav a poor reproduction of the power of a sniper rifle - to keep a balance between weapons. in CoD4 multiplayer mode, the sniper rifle (even M82A1) cannot make a kill at one shot. so i think it's a bit difficult to find a game which well reproduces a sniper rifle. maybe Sniper Elite is okay but the graphics is bad and the game is not so interesting.

THE GAME IS NOT SO DIFFICULT MAN! I CAN'T JUST PASS THE VETERAN MODE FOR 2 MISSIONS IN IT.

AND I'VE TRIED KINDS OF WAYS TO USE THE CHEATS, BUT THEY NEVER WORKED.

MAYBE THERE'S SOME REASON CAUSED BY THE VERSION?
