Well, gaming land is pretty quiet right now. I've been hooked on Rainbow Six Vegas and Crackdown....those are ALOT of fun. Other then that I have been just kind of staring at my Wii and PS3 just hoping for some crazy gaming goodness. Oh well, it's on the way (I hope).
There's alot of good games coming in March so that should be cool. Other then that I just felt like a little rant. A pretty slow time of the year.

Well, I got one....

Well, I finally got a PS3 and luckily I might add. My friend happened to have obtained 2 of the 60gig ones. He was initially going to keep one and sell the other on Ebay but never got around to it so rather then just selling it to some random person or returning it, he sold it to me.
I have to say, the PS3 is one very sexy machine. It feels solid and well built. If the consoles were cars, the Wii would be a small hybrid car. It's cute, funtional and gets the job done. The Xbox360 would be a big truck because it's loud, and has alot of raw horsepower under the hood but the looks are kept relatively simple. The PS3 would be a sleek italian sports car. It looks awesome and the technology under the hood is unknown to the user but the horses are there under all the fancy gadgetry.
All I have right now is Resistance: Fall of Man but damn! is that a fun game. I'm on my 3rd play through and I haven't even gone online with it yet.
All in all, I am really happy with the PS3 and it has ALOT of potential. Like the 360, it's only going to have to get out of it's infancy of launch and get the titles rolling in the coming months.

All the players are OUT!!!!!!!

So now all the "next-gen" systems are out and on the market for us gamers to get our grubby, greasy little hands on. I have been having a BLAST reading and watching all the fighting, bashing, reviews and all the media that's been circulating around about these systems.
I've been a 360 owner since the day the system has launched and I have gotta say.....I love that system. Everything about it is so, well....cool and easy. Everything from the games to the system functions just seem to appeal to me more. Xbox Live is by far the best online gaming expierience out there. Does it cost money, yes but what you get is MORE then worth it.
As for my stance on the 2 newest additions to the fold. I will be getting them both. I won't be getting either till next year at some point so all the new console woes have subsided and some good software is available. As cool as Resistance: Fall of Man looks, I would be hard pressed to drop 800 dollars just to play it.
The PS3 is a beast of a system and an impressive piece of technology. I am DYING to see what Killzone is ACTUALLY going to be like. If they manage to basically just add a hud to what we saw at the E3 demo then I will be in store immediatly with cash in hand.
The Nintendo Wii will be bought and put in my living room as my kind of "party" system. Not much to say about this one other then it's pretty cool and should be pretty fun to have.
What are your guy's thoughts on the "Console Wars"?....
