Play lord of the rings online. It's slower paced and doesn't require the same commitment but is still rewarding. The players are older and most of them have their game more in perspective in relation to their life. I played world of warcraft some, but not the same way you did and in forty levels I never once heard someone say "I'm a pharmacist, I have to go to bed so I can go to work in the morning". It was all very much more immature and all about the next level of 'better than thou'.Yeah that is sort of fun, but so is playing a game slowly and enjoying each level in detail.

Well err.. Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar has a story. And a main quest line in addition to side quests. Come play with us. We aren't 11 years old or retarded, and our game doesn't look like the flintstones. I think the more realistic imagery is helping to draw a more mature, helpful crowd. By the way world of warcraft is for retarded 11 year olds! :)

LOTRO will always be easily worth it to me, but I really like the game a lot and I love these online make a character more powerful and more experienced games. I got hooked on Diablo and ever since this is my favorite type of game. I just paid the 200 bucks. I liked it so much and I already had a level 26 elf hunter and a level 7 minstrel I'm working on.....I was playing such an obscene amount of time and enjoying it so much I thought why not just throw my money in the pot and see how long the game lasts. I really love it so I don't mind paying. What other entertainment could I buy this cheaply to spend 25 hours a week on for 4 weeks every month and then it only cost 10 bucks or 15 bucks? That's insanely cheap. Try looking at it that way and maybe rent your movies from netflix instead of the video store or going to the theater and really you could probably afford it...just by making a small change every month to your entertainment budget. See you in the game!
