You dont have to have a credit card. Just buy a prepaid psn voucher which u can find in retail stores.

Both MS and Sony said they are not going to keep using that system and will instead use credit cards or other methods(???)

I haven't heard such a thing. Anyways, I recommend to get yourself a prepaid card (thats what i am doing).

I'ma tell a funny story here. There was a time when I had dropped Clannad a few years ago because I found it so boring, earlier this year I decided to pick it up again because I had been hearing how great the sequel After Story was, I had to force myself to finish the first season. All that being said, I marathoned all of After Story from episode 8 until the end (24), thats how good I thought it was. I shed manly tears a few times, not saying you will but I'm just giving you a sense of what you might go through. Enjoy.
