Wipeout HD is one of the most fun playstation downloadable games I've bought. Never had much interest in wipeout games, but this has been a fun multiplayer game for when friends come over. Its like mario kart on steriods and its hectic multiplayer racing where first and last place are pretty close together...and then add in the weapons, great online and custom soundtrack.... wipeout hd ftw

wipeout HD is great with another person. Fast to pick up. Resistance 2 co-op is fun once the controls are learned.

If history tells us anything, the slim ps come out at least a year before the next ps comes out.

Ps2 slimline came out sept 2004, ps3 released November 17, 2006

The ps2 slimeline came out earlier than the psx slim to cut cost and because of the original ps2 disc drive having issues. I would just get a ps3 because a slim version wont be out for awhile. and the slimed down versions have taken options out of them in the past, even though I love my slimeline ps2. I would hold out till the rumored ps3 price drop in april, and then I would highly highly recommend the following games

Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBIGplanet, Wipeout HD ($15 download), resistance 2, killzone 2,

you are missing out, really. I would highly recommend picking up WipeoutHD for its HIGHLY addictive gameplay, multiplayer, and great value...., superstardust hd for its addictive gameplay and co-op features. flow is fun too and if flower looks like a fun game to you, flow is a nice addition to any ps3. I hear good things from lots of people about street fighter 2 hd, but have not played it since playing it on the genesis years ago.
