We are excited to announce a new PUG Cup tourney. This friendly, off-season competition will allow players to get a fresh feel for competitive play alongside new teammates, free from strict clan duty.

Competitors have until Thursday, June 2nd to sign up here. Random teams will then be created, each with roughly 12 players. This will be repeated twice, and all 3 line-ups will be posted as options in a poll. The draft that the community votes for as the most balanced will give us the final teams. They will compete in a single elimination tournament, fighting for the winners' glory!

Savage XR, now in its late beta, is true to the unique gameplay of Savage. War in Newerth never gets old! *So go on, dust off your mouse and join us for some clanless pwnage! Don't forget to tell your clanmates and friends about it: the more the merrier! Don't be afraid if you're less experienced or rusty at the game. Anyone who got time to play weekly matches can join up!

The combat of both games take minutes to learn and years to master.
Both games are masterpieces of game design IMO.

FPS based: "Quake 3 Arena".
Very fast paced, rocket jumping and strafe jumping plus a variety of weapons without aim restriction on movement.

Melee/FPS combined: "Savage: The Battle for Newerth" (XR)
Fast paced leap vs block, simple but absolutely brilliant. Weapons don't have aim restriction on movement either.

I love Hack and Slash and I checked some videos about Vindictus. The combat looks like in an average button masher, not much mousework required. What matters is what you do and less how you do it. This makes a game less rewarding and boring.
Quake...hardest to master FPS game todaydos4gw82

Pretty sure that title goes to Starsiege: Tribes.

Are you serious? "Starssiege: Tribes" has no advanced game mechanics like starve or rocket jumps, is a lot slower paced and less demanding concerning weapon timing and health/item management.

I forgot "FarCry": For turning active gamers into passive consumers. Since FarCry "This game looks crap!" is Captain Obvious' killer argument in any game discussion.

Rogue: One of the first in the RPG genre Quake: One of the first in the FPS genre, great game mechanics and netcode, hardest to master FPS game today Savage: The Battle for Newerth: Innovation in game design, hardest to master melee combat today Rune: Innovation in Hitbox design/accuracy and netcode World of Warcraft: Making gameplay accessible to the masses by rewarding assiduity instead of talent.
