@craigkelleigh:

Hey Craig,

Thanks for responding, but a headset was not plugged into it when it happened. There was only one other controller connected to the Xbox when the occurrence happened, and that controller still works. I will most definitely try and connect the controller to see if there is any life in it what so ever. The funny thing is that it still won't power on even with fresh batteries in it. As you, I hope that the controller hasn't simply failed because of a manufacturer defect. I'm still hopeful someone reads this and had a similar problem, and that they have a solution.

Thank You,

Wickstar1

Hey Guys,

I had a question about a problem that I had heard of in several rare cases. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem as I am now. I was playing with a friend and one of my controllers just randomly shut off. When we tried to turn the controller back on, it simply wouldn't turn back on. We tried several different types of batteries and still nothing. Went out and purchased a rechargeable battery pack for it, still nothing. If anyone could let me know if they know anything about this problem and a possible solution. I haven't tried plugging the controller into the Xbox because I do not have the android cable with a USB attachment on it. I'm thinking of trying that next if I can find one. I was curious if it could possibly be one of those new software patches from the controller, but I don't believe that is feasible because my other controller works fine. And just for a reference point, there is no damage to the controller. Never been dropped or smashed. If you have any ideas please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

Kinda feel bad for Israel. Everyday is a constant struggle being surrounded by countries with hate towards you because of the religion you practice. I don't blame Israel for sticking up for themselves. At the end of the day Gaza did this to themselves. Blatantly ignored a ceasefire... I guess you reap what you sew though.

Can't lie sometimes reading these threads is just humorous. People posting graphs and relaying numbers they literally know nothing about. Everyone here has their masters in math and and a never ending knowledge of processor power haha. Here's a statistic for ya 60% of time it works 100% of the time (pretty much sums up this thread).

Haven't had that trouble yet. I would say maybe try resetting the batteries in the controller. Just a thought.

I still have a feeling Xbox One will Ultimately be in 1st when all is said and done. PS4 may have it now, but not for long... Plus I heard the Xbox One and PS4 are being made now from recycled scrap Wii U parts :p

Bought my Xbox One and immediately bought a copy of Assassin's Creed Black Flag. I've been absolutely glued to it haha. Not only is the gameplay great in my opinion, but I'm very impressed with the graphics relative to my 360. So happy I finally dished the money out. Looking to pick up a couple more games, but I've still gotta delve into Titanfall a little bit before making any more purchases. Very pleased with this version of a next gen console. Then again I've always favored Microsoft. Just too many exclusives not to get an Xbox One.

To be totally honest this doesn't really matter to me. My favorite game to play for PC was Guild Wars haha. I had some much fun playing that RPG, but to be totally honest, consoles are just so much more fun in my opinion. Even though the technology will never probably exceed that of a PC, I think the true value is in the experience. So whether you prefer PC or Console it shouldn't really matter the technology as long as you're enjoying yourself.

I knew this would never take off haha. Microsoft entered a field they really had no business delving into. This would have been literally the biggest money pit (fire pit) for Microsoft. I'm actually very happy they are allocating funds elsewhere.

After reading through some of the responses, I can agree in some areas and disagree in others. If a person can honestly sit there and tell me if a game has a crappy story, but good game play they would give it a 8.5-10 rating is an absolute bullshitter. The only reason I say this is because from my experience, if a game has an awful story, rarely will I be intrigued enough to even sit their and waste my time with it. It also depends on the game too. You brought up COD for example; I apologize to all the COD fans out there but the story mode of those games is an absolute atrocity. The campaigns take 4-5 hours to beat, they are predictable, lack the "wow" factor, and are just plain boring. On the other hand the game play factor is fairly descent when it comes to the multiplayer aspect. For those reasons I would give most CODS that have come out a rating of a 6.5 for overall appeal personally. Except for Call Of Duty Modern Warefare 2 :p (3rd person team tactical was an interesting element I hadn't seen from most shooters beside Gears). I guess it really all depends on the type of game though too because you could look at a discussion like this from literally hundreds of vantage points on what you think.
