Just to clear things up, I own a good PC, PS3 and 360, so no fanboyism goin on here....

As alot of you have mentioned, PC gaming has supposidly been dying for 25 years, yet it's still here? PC Gaming will always previal due to its hardcore background. Most console only gamers are only casual (dare i say), because all hardcore gamers would own a decent PC!

And is everyone forgetting how they develop these gmes? Wouldn't get very far developing a game on a 360 now would you?

Also, who goes to the store to buys games off shelf anymore? Its all about Steam these days, and because the majority of PC gamers are indeed 'hardcore' then they know it makes much more sence to Steam it which erdicates piracy anyways.

All these supposed figures are showing, is the end of the highstreet store for PC games.

The future is DD. Check out those figures and get back to me.

Does anyone out there know any solid facts of which version of GTA IV will be better, forgetting the DLC coming for the 360, which version of the game will be better, i'm talking about graphics, frames per second, performance, that kinda thing. I own both consoles and personally I would prefer to get the game on PS3 if it would deleiver better graphics and performance than getting the extra content with the 360?

Anyone else feel this way, it does feel like the DLC is the driving force for most of the decision making ive seen so far.

"THQ to deliver Homeworld 3?

The Homeworld RTS series could be set for something of a shock return, according to the latest news on the grapevine, as we learn that the rights to the series have been acquired by US publisher THQ.

This move does of course reunite the Homeworld brand with the developer who first created it, Relic. Relic themselves were acquired by THQ some time ago, and have recently created groundbreaking real-time strategy titles such as Company of Heroes.

Reports of the new acquisition emerge from various fan sites, although the actual document filed with the US trademarks office is unavailable, presently, meaning that we must file this firmly in the 'rumours' pile.

With Relic having seemingly perfected the real-time strategy formula, now might be the perfect time for them to return to space-based battles, hence the rumours surrounding Homeworld 3 - the brand previously owned by Sierra (who published the original games).

We'll keep you posted on this."

Hi, i'm just building a new system, not a super gaming rig, but a machine to bring up to date. I have invested in a Q6600 Pro Quad core, 2 gigs of RAM and the trimmings. What i am stuck on though is the GFX card???

I dont want to splash out to much on a 8 series with the 9 series just around the corner claiming to be 3x as powerful? But i also dont want to get mugged on a 7 series that wont be able to play anything in a few month.

I'm torn between buying a 7900GTX 512 off ebay for around £130, or spend similar amount on a 8600GTS 256 or go that little bit better and get the 8800GT 320 for around £190???Ive looked on performance charts and its very close between the 7900GTX and the 8600GTS, but i dont want to spend £200 on something thats going to get owned by the 9 series budget cards?

Please help me, i'm at a loss!!! Xpert help needed.

Thanks

Tom
