This may not be an issue with the games but with the PS3 itself, so bare with me. I've recently borrowed a 360 from a friend so I could play Gears 2 and Left 4 Dead and found a few simple differences that would make the PS3 experience more enjoyable.
1) Allow user-owned music content to be played over the game sound
2) Allow two PSN IDs to login to the same machine for splitscreen purposes. Does anyone else play Resistance 2 on a splitscreen? Doesn't it suck that one person gains XP and items while the other loses his experience after each session of gaming?
3) Allow each splitscreener to have a functioning earpiece.
I could write volumes about why the PS3 is better than the 360, but here are a few things that Sony could do instead of wasting...I mean spending time developing Home...
You can play for weeks before heading to the Kvatch Oblivion gate. Unlike other games, Leveling does not always make you stronger than the enemies. My advice would be to read a FAQ or a portion of a walkthrough that describes leveling. You don't need to "Power Level" but it's good to know what causes you to level up and how to get +5 to your attributes (like strength, endurance, willpower, etc.) when leveling instead of always getting +2.
I still struggle when I have to fight more than 2 enemies...
Most of the people making comments haven't even played it. Demos, screenshots, reviews, videos.... just try it out. It's not that bad.
I'm going through the story mode right now with a buddy of mine, and it seems pretty decent to me. The cut scenes are entertaining. The gameplay isn't perfect but it's not terrible either. They put the player in different scenarios such as bank heists, crowded clubs, chase scenes, and hostage/sniper situations. They allow you to play the story mode with a friend using split-screen, which I appreciate even though most games are doing away with split-screen modes.
I'm not saying I'm going to buy the game. But I'm going to finish it and enjoy it. After all it's way better than Stranglehold (which somehow got a 7.0).
...and they say F*** a lot, which always makes things better (like Goodfellas).
