Me. I don't particularly like EA's approach to the copy protection issue, but that won't stop me from enjoying what looks to be a great extension to the franchise. The cartoon-esquegraphics, humor and fast paced action is what actually draws me to RA3. Obviously it's all about having a blast.

I would like a second opinion on whether I'd be in the clear to run RA3 on my PC. And also any tips for improving system performance.

Specs:

P4 3.42 GHz Single core

GPU: 8500 GT 256MB

1 Gg of RAM

Not a modern day power-house by any standard, but it's well rounded considering it's vintage. I've been playing CnC 3 and it runs fine on fairly detailed graphic settings, so the game looks superb. I've also played COD4 & COH on my PC and they run quite well. COH slows down on maps with more than four players. I also have SupCom but the limitations of my processor show when things heat up. The only time there is a dramatic drop in framerates in CnC 3, is when the engine is rendering large patches of Tiberium. Considering that RA3 is built off a slightly modified version of the same game engine (the system reqs appear to be the same, also), I think I'll have no problem. Of course, I could just be naive. So a second opinion would be appreciated.

PS. I posted this earlier but the system req thread is far too slow. I need answers ASAP.

Cheers.

Also, I'm looking on updating to a duel core in the near future that will render my PC more capable of running these games but for now the single core is holding its own quite well coupled with my GPU, which is decent.

Chears.

For me Fear was excellent in sp. Never realy had a go at mp because I had bf 2 to muck around with, but if your out for an intense sp game, definatly.

Pros: Graphics were awsome, some of the best firefights ever to be had in gaming are in this game, check out the particle effects. AI is another plus, they pull of some nifty manouvers if your not ready. Some creepy moments, though I felt that there could have been alot more.

Cons: The environments can be a bit too repetitive, too much "copy and paste" not to mention the colour gray. Story is awsome though inconclusive to a degree and only picks up at the start and end of game making the mid section game a bit drawn out.

Though it's well and truly worth it for the awsome combat, AI and moments of horror.

Hey guys!

Quick question. I'm thinking of gettin SC but the System reqs are giving me my doubts.

I'm running on a solid system as it is/was.

Pentium 4  3.4 GHz, 1 GB Ram and 6600 gt (which runs year old and hardware intensive games very well such as F.E.A.R and BF2 for eg)

A solid rig at least in my opinion. So the quetion is! How well will it run this game?
