I've watched plasmas before, and didn't experience any phosphor lag....Is it just a small population that can see it, or is it a problem specific to brands?

I'm stuck between two TVs at the moment, the Panasonic 42" VIERA at circuit city was my initial pick(based on reviews and recommendations). But now all of my friends are worrying me with "burn in" and other things with plasma. Im not the most educated on the subject, and would like some advice from someone who has experience. This is my first hd, and it took me some time to save for it, so is there anything that i would need to worry about or steps I would need to take? Or should I just go the Samsung LCD route. Any helps appreciated.

Me and a buddy of mine are buying it, and he insists that it be a prebuilt, so im going off that. I don't need a monster pc, and with my budget i don't expect to. But if i could run crysis on medium id be happy.

Im thinking of getting a prebuilt, and I've heard this company praised quite abit. If anyone that has used can recommend them, and a decent build (I have around 1500 for a pc) I would appreciate it. Oh and I have the monitor, keyboard etc., so thats not needed. Thanks.

My friend recently ordered parts for his pc, and did absoulutly no research before purchasing the parts.(aside from reading the reviews on the site) the specs are

Asus p5k-E LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz Lga 775 Quad-Core Processor

G.Skill 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

Seagate Hard drive, and a SAPPHIRE 100243l Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Crossfire Supported.

He just ordered all the parts off newegg on a whim, and I don't know much about pc's to see anything wrong with it. Is any of this going to be a problem for him, and if there is a problem what else should I tell him to order (or send back.)

So any videocard will be compatible? It's not a slim cased one, but not huge. If thats all I need then great! And thanks for all the help guys, I know most of the questions I asked were common knowledge to most here, so thanks again.

I got the HP for school, it's has an 2.4 ghz intel core 2 quad Q6600 4gb ram, and an 8500gt. It runs off vista. Im not sure if you can upgrade that to run games or not, and I have the money to build one, though may need to save if I need more than a thousand.

Just to throw this out there, the pc that im posting from is brand new hp, with a 8500gt. I really don't know if that means anything, and don't know level progressions with pc's, but could that be upgraded and still run games?
