I noticed someone asked if Bully was worth buying recently and the consensus here was entirely positive.

I started playing God Hand on Normal and it bested me on the second set of levels (after the first boss). The Red Star is also sort of tough.
Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of FF VII (mainly because I hated the ending SO MUCH... I am still mad about it even to this day).
It took a long time for me to finally get sold on the Guitar Hero franchise... but my resolve finally broke earlier this year.
I've been buying all the quality PS2 games I can while I can still find them affordably at stores. I am a late adopter of consoles, so I figure I might as well stock up now and play through that backlog until the next gen has a much larger (and affordable) library. I should be able to hold out a few more years while finding new thrills every week from my library of unplayed games.
PetJel: The fact that the list was dubbed The 25 Best PS2 games I've Ever Played original, so your criticism is more than valid.
Maxx1458 and Joystick_n_hand: Thanks for the compliments. I think the reason that there are less of the usual choices is likely due to the fact that the list is the work of one person rather than a team of people, so they come to a consensus about what they feel is the best, so there is very little room for some of the games that might be just outside of those lists.
Roulettethedog: To each their own.
Timbury: And I totally understand that, and I expected it to be a list that may not represent everyone's taste or gaming preferences.
On the PSX, I was such a fan of Gran Turismo and its sequel (I have one of the original printings of the latter, the one with the garage erasing bug that they fixed with a patched version of the disc), but by part 4, I was a little fatigued by the franchise. It still has its enjoyable moments for me, but the feeling is a little different now.
And I didn't really connect with God of War in the way a lot of other people did. It was good, but it didn't take hold as one of my favorite games.
I think having something like Urban Chaos:Riot Response on the list while snubbing games that appear on nearly every list of this kind (God of War immediately comes to mind) makes any effort on my part to make a list that fit with critical consensus unlikely.
And I could only choose one game from the MGS saga for the list, so I picked 3 over 2.
I put together a list of The 25 PS2 Games I've Enjoyed the Most and I thought it would be worth sharing, as it does seem to start some interesting discussions.
I should note the following:
1. I am not the fan of RPGs I once was, so games from this genre will be noticeably absent.
2. I know this list isn't definitive and I am not claiming it is.
3. I have the expectation that there are games that are on my list that very few people would put on their top 25 list.
I'd love to know what you think.
