Actually the truth is Disks have a 10 year life span. If after 10 years they still hold the media and are usable then you are lucky. But all Manufacturers will tell you too back up media that is on a disk once theyget close too that age.

How do I backup media on a disc? Video game discs are usually copy protected and stuff right? Can I do it without getting some illegal program? I take good care of all of my disc, but I really do want them to work longer than I live.
