You shouldnt base your opinion solely on Gamespot review scores, especially for JRPGs. Most people know Final Fantasy games are going to be rated highly whether they deserve it or not. TerroRizing

Everyone has an excuse for when games get rated high.

Why is it when a game is rated poorly, almost everyone can agree that its because it was a poorly made game but when its rated good everyone throws excuses around.

Did any of you ever stop to think that maybe, the game is just great and that maybe you just don't happen to like it? Its always how they were rated high because of the series name, brand recognition, the devs have always produced great games so even with the "bad" ones they are given the benefit of the doubt.

FF gets rated high because it's a great series. If the ratings went off of series name FFIX would've gotten AAA and FFXI would've gotten AAA, but they didn't. I won't even bother arguing this though, because the cool kids always love to hate on whats great at the time so it'll never get through.

Xbox Live expensive?

The problem people have about MS charging for live is the principle of it, not the cost.

I haven't had the chance to play Lost Odyssey yet, been too busy playing Counter Strike or Call of Duty 4 with my friends. My brother loves it though and he has good taste..somewhat (he argues with me that Jericho is good, but he's just an achievement whore and has like all of them so its clouded his vision). He says its better than FFXII, so i'll have to take his word being that I never played it. I was too addicted to Socom 2 and Socom: Combined Assault.

Watching my brother play, I thought it was pretty dumb that there were no limit breaks or summons. I guess Sakaguchi didn't want it to be an identical FF clone. Will it be better than FFXIII? No. People can hate on FF all they want, but in terms of production it is the best and I expect no less from the next entry.

One of my close friends had bought a 360 and I tried convincing him to get a PS3 but he said its useless. In regards of online, its no contest so im happy with Live (didn't even pay for Gold, some sort of glitch and i've had it for the past two or three months already)

I used to be so hyped up for games like FFXIII and LittleBigPlanet, all I really want now is Mass Effect 2 and Gears of War 2.(mainly cause of my friends are going to play it, I just get MP games because its fun when your playing with people you know)

It's not a game for everyone. Especially nowadays, a game has to be flawless or it sucks. If there is one slight problem with the game, such as it doesn't have 10 pages in the instruction manual it sucks. Thats what happens with great games though. You never see anyone bashing Big Rigs or Deal or No Deal for the DS.

I loved the story, combat could've been better and the game could've been longer, doesn't make it any less of a game though.

Prestige is overrated. It's just a new symbol that shows how much time you put into the game, thats basically it. In like three months everyone is gonna be done with their 10th prestige and it wont mean anything.

I just want all my golden weapons, I think thats more impressive.
