Not my best score, but not my worst. I prefer using sites like TyprX or TypeRacer since they give actual quotes and punctuation, admittedly.

What kind of 'conversion' do you mean? Are you simply changing the file types of videos and uploading them to YouTube? If so, virtually anythingwill work. There are lots of options out there, but here are a few suggestions. I haven't used all the programs, and I can't guarantee they'll be in a price range you'd accept if they're not free, but they should hopefully do what you require.
- Windows Movie Maker. The most basic tool of all, Movie Maker won't do much beyond let you add a few titles and effects before converting the video and uploading it. It comes as part of the Windows Live suite now, along with a bunch of other programs that are free with it.
- iMovie. Included as part of the iLife suite, this software is available only for Mac OS X. I've never used it myself but it's basically the Movie Maker of OS X, as far as I know. It does a bit more than Windows Movie Maker though which likely explains why you have to pay for iLife to get it.
- VirtualDUB. This is meant to be one of the more advanced programs out there but it is free, and it likely would allow you to do what you want to and then much, much more. I know a guy who highly recommends it with game footage, including footage captured from the Hauppauge HD PVR and other recording devices.
- Sony Vegas. It's not free, but it's easy to pick up and learn. A 30-day trial is available from Sony's website but buying the program would financially cripple you, should you go for Vegas Pro. Look on YouTube for tutorials with the program as they tend to go far beyond what I can tell you. It's available for Windows only.
- Pinnacle VideoSpin. I haven't used this product in forever and a day but it's similar to Windows Movie Maker. If you don't want Movie Maker this program is much the same. It has a pretty equal feature list (read: not much), and should be sufficient for small clips, probably.
I'm seeing a redesign here in Europe as well, so I am assuming it's a world-wide change rather than restricted to only the one region. I think it's a big improvement over the older design. It feels more modern, which makes the site look more appealing. I can see the potential for more advertising on this site design but I suppose groups such as CNET exist to make money, so it's nothing to be concerned about.
I saw it on Friday night. It's a good film - I didn't have very high expectatons at the time, but I was rather satisfied with it when I had seen it. Some scenes are quite funny, and it makes a decent action movie. I saw it in 3D, but I imagine you might actually enjoy it more in 2D. I'm not big on the world of Marvel films but I enjoyed Thor all the same.
