[QUOTE="xNeverTheHerox"]How could anyone in their right minds like friendcodes? There are no benefits to friend codes, at all. You can't play with people you want to, you can't talk to anyone, and you certainly can't get to know them. You might as well be playing against bots. I'd rather go splitscreen and be able to chat with my friend than go online, type in a 16 digit code of nonsense and listen to the silence that is Super Mario Strikers.Jaysonguy
Everything you said there is false
First of all if you can work a telephone number you can work a friend code.
You can play with exactly who you want to, unlike any other service. If you don't punch in their number you wont be playing with them. That is the power I've been waiting for unlike these other services that treat everyone like cats you have to herd.
Talking is because of the headset not friend codes. If friend codes left you'd still be mute.
Get to know them? I didn't know playing video games is like Match.com, or is it EHarmony?
If you want friends every single forum these days has a friend code topic, it's not like it's impossible to find people to play with.
But why would you want the numbers? Sure I can memorize them like telephone numbers, but why? That's like saying I could walk to the store instead of drive. Sure you can do it, but you don't need to. Friend codes is just an inconvient and stupid way to put in a username. Even these forums have usernames, it's not a new thing and should be the norm. Also, I believe there is still random battles in Wii online games. If you used XBox live you'd know you can play with just your friends too. Also, through Xbox live I've made friends that I can play with. GASP, that's right. I don't need to date them to play a few rounds of Halo. I'm not a 360 fanboy, I love my wii. These are just the facts. Friend codes are a usless hassle. Sure they work, and sure you can search forums for people's codes, but why? Why do I need to go through all that when they could just replace them with usernames?
