That settles it. I'm selling my 360 tomorrow. It's pointless since all of these games are just copies of older out-of-date games.

Thanks again, everyone. I just bought Chamber of Secrets and Goblet of Fire for XBOX today. The former was 4.99 and the latter was 7.99.
I'm about to do some test playingin a minute, but my girlfriend seemed pretty pleased. :)
Cool. Thanks for the advice. :)
I'm starting to think that the console wouldn't really matter, so like I said, I'll probably just go with XBOX because 1, they're a few bucks cheaper and 2, I'd prefer to get the newest for 360, so I can stay all on one console.
Cheers.
I have a GC and a PS2. I've played some Wii's, and as nice as they are, you said you want cheap.
Cube is definitely cheapest; however, PS2 has way more games. If you're a fan of the commonly-more family-oriented games made by nintendo, you won't be disappointed with the GameCube. They even have a couple of more action-infused games like Resident Evil.
I doubt you're looking for online play, but in the event that you are PS2 would easily be the better choice for that.
So I posted this last night and it was locked... I guess someone read it more as "Console vs. Console."
What I intended was for someone to give advice on the Harry Potter series. My girlfriend is not a big gamer, but she loves Harry Potter. The older games (though apparently not as good) are cheap, so I figured I'd start with those and work up to the newest.
Does anyone have any experience with these games? And is the general consensus that they're better for PS2 or XBOX?
Since I have a 360, I'm leaning towards the XBOX versions, just to stay on the same platform.
Advice?
(P.S. Thanks to those who replied to the previous post! :))
I posted this in System Wars as well, but didn't get very many replies...
Everyone's still on about XbOX360 v PS3 I'm sure. My question relates back to the days of XBOX v PS2, however.
My girlfriend isn't a big gamer, but she loves Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter, so I was going to buy some games that she'd enjoy too. Most of the games from these series are on original XBOX or PS2. (360 supports all of them and I have a PS2)
SO! I was wondering if anyone had any advice console-to-console, hopefully focused on any of these games. General advice would be nice. I've heard fanboy rumours, I'd just like some help deciding which platform I should buy these games on.
Cheers!
Interesting. I was definitely planning to start at the oldest and work my way towards the newer.
Not just because of story lines, mind you, but also because the original XBOX games are floating around the $10 bargain bin at GameStop.
Thanks for your advice though.:)

I'm a little worried about this, personally. It seems like everyone is having problems with RROD or "No video output!"
Does anyone else wonder if 360s are built with a timeline to die or something...? Just curious.
