Im going to a renaissance faire with my girlfriend in a few weeks and she's making me dress up, i decided to go as a barbarian,lol. i want to make the weapon myself(link below) however i want it to be large and very heavy, and of course good looking, however i have never built a weapon like this before. Does anyone have any advice or ideas on how to do it. My idea was to cut a smaller tree down that has a base an appropriate size for the top mallet, debark, sand, ext..but the handle im not sure about..i want it to be very heavy...15-50 pounds (one in link is 4 pounds)..so i cant think of a way for the handle to be strong enough to withstand impact with said amount of weight...and to secure the handle to the head i thought about using a press to cut a hole in the mid-section of the head and securing the handle with superglue,but that idea sounds pretty stupid..the hammer in the link is nice looking and all and its very cheap..but imo its a baby, im a big guy and that things a lightweight..the hammer would be very easy to make as a decorative costume piece..but theres no fun making a weapon if u cant whip the little f***er around.

so please if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.. my main problems are

1.What to use as handle

2.how to secure handle to head

3.how to have the wood strong enough to withstand impact..punishment..peoples heads and what not

4.what should i do to make the hammer heavier

So start doing something with your life...you think bill gates had a lot of friends when he was young. he has any girl he wants, and more friends than he can stand nowadays.....and if your to lazy for that pick up a hobby..start fighting or hunting..best iddea join the military..you will meet plany of freinds on base

The tornadoe just missed my area by boston but we had craaaaaaazy lightning going on. i put the timer on and counted 21 strikes within 10 seconds and it continuously did that for over an hour.

not in the slightt bit, howeever i use whey protein..its healthy, and very helpful. i use it as a diet(dont need to eat as much) and i workout 3-4 hours most the time so its a great recovery for the next day

i appreciate the comment, however it would kind of piss me off if your incinuating that i bought that xbox with illegal money, or stole it...especcially since i said "i have done nothing illegal in this matter". If it was a stolen or related to illegal activities in any way...do you really think id be going to the police station or to an investigation to get it back....
