I found this interesting article on Raptr regarding the performance of Black Ops against MW2 and Halo Reach. Considering that there was so much hype behind Black Ops, the results may surprise you. It's a pretty good read. The link is below if anyone's interested. Let me know what you guys think. http://blog.raptr.com/2010/11/19/did-black-ops-outperform-modern-warfare-2-and-halo-reach/
So Raptr is encouraging everyone to play COD: BO (as if people need encouraging.) The more you play, the more prizes they unlock in a contest they are running (there is a lovely Alienware PC they are giving away.) It's an interesting concept, with prizes unlocked very 250,000 hours racked up. I do wonder if they will hit 4 million though to unlock all the stuff, since looking at the Raptr charts on their homepage, Halo: Reach has about 1.5 million hours tracked in the last month so far. The contest page is here: http://blog.raptr.com/2010/11/04/call-of-duty-black-ops-massive-giveaway-the-more-you-play-the-more-you-win/
I can go for a bit without playing .. when there isnt a good game out .. I can go for weeks and not even budge. But when I get back .. it's like binge eating where I'm gaming 24/7 lol
Call of Duty: Black Ops is almost here (I'm sure everyone is counting the hours) and those looking to showcase their skills should really check out these gameplay-oriented contests. One of them has a grand prize of $3000, one is giving away an Alienware Gaming PC, and the other is giving away a Call of Duty Jeep. Pretty sweet prizes just for playing the game. Here's the links to the contest pages: Raptr's Massive Call of Duty Black Ops Giveaway (Prizes inc. Starcraft .. although I think it's a little more advanced and harder to learn type of games .. but practice will guarantee some good matches and memories. I heard Dota is a great multi-player game too .. although I never tried it. League of legends too.
If anything, I choose gameplay over graphics. Like, I rather not have to buy a new computer or even a new graphics card just to play some of the upcoming PC games. If SC2 kept the old classic graphics, I still would be happy. I also wish D3 focused more on just completing the game and getting it out to everyone who's been waiting for so darn long then to make it a next-gen-style PC game. Bahhhhhhh~
Anyone still play Gunbound? Is that even popular anymore? The last time I played it was when D2 was waiting for that 1.10 patch to clear up all the hacks and stuff (which was like a good 3-4 years ago .. maybe even longer). So really.. who here still plays Gunbound? Or at least even heard of it ... lol
