Movie Recommendation #20.

If you enjoyed the first Saw, then here's the second one.

Movie: Saw II, 2005

Saw II follows the first Saw perfectly, as a good mixture of suspense and horror makes Saw II a very enjoyable sequel that will make you like it as much as the first Saw.

The sick twisted killer Jigsaw, is still kidnapping people who he thinks are ungrateful to be alive, and placing them in death traps to see if they truly want to live or die. After police find another one of Jigsaw's victems, police are able trace enough evidence to lead them to Jigsaw's hideout. Lead by Detective Eric Matthews, (Donnie Wahlberg) police storm in and arrest Jigsaw. But it's far from being over, as police discover computer monitors that show footage of eight people trapped in a house that are part of another one of Jigsaw's sick games. Because of the situation, Eric Matthews has to keep Jigsaw where he is and try to interrogate him for the location of the house. Meanwhile, the eight people named Amanda, (Shawnee Smith) Xavier, (Franky G) Jonas, (Glenn Plummer) Addison, (Emmanuelle Vaugier) Laura, (Beverley Mitchell) Obi, (Tim Burd) Gus, (Tony Nappo) and Eric Matthew's son, Daniel, (Erik Knudsen) begin to wonder where they are. The group discovers a tape left by Jigsaw and it informs all of them that they're all breathing in a deadly nerve gas and that they have two hours to live unless they find the antidotes that are hidden throughout the house. In a house riddled with deadly traps, and a limited time to live, the group must band together and escape Jigsaw's deadly game.

What's the big Controversy?

I've seen a lot weird things on GameSpot, but this tops them all. Ever since the GameSpot editor Jeff left everyone has been mad for some reason, and think that he was fired for his review on the game Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. What's even stranger is that users are purposely giving Kane & Lynch low scores because they think it's part of Jeff's departure. Now I read the early reviews of the game and some people actually liked it, but as soon as Jeff left everyone started giving it low scores. The recent reviews on Kane & Lynch aren't even reviews, they're just rants on how it made Jeff leave.

Seriously I have no idea why everyone's so mad, people come and go that's how it is sometimes.

Personally I thought Jeff was an ok guy, his reviews were very good, and at times I thought he was biased with some games but other than that he was a decent guy.

Back once again.

The reason I haven't been around lately is that I've been really sick ever since Thanksgiving. The doctors think it's some kind of virus and that it takes a very long for it to progress and get out of my system, I'm a lot better than I have been the past week so I'm getting better. I'll probably be completely alright after this weekend.

Thanksgiving.

Well Thanksgiving was today me and my family just went up to Cleveland where all of my relatives lived. I'm going to be honest and say Thanksgiving isn't really my favorite holiday, I'm just not that into it like others. We only stayed in Cleveland for today and went home a few hours after we ate. I was asleep for most of the day so I didn't really have a giant meal like everyone else but I still had a decent meal.

I hope everyone else had a good Thanksgiving too. :)

Picked up Super Mario Galaxy.

Super Mario Galaxy is a fantastic game, everything about it is so simple yet so incredibly fun. The controls are simple, the graphics are very detailed, and there's great soud to it too. This is a really great game, anyone who enjoys Mario games or simple platformers should try this out. Best game on the Wii so far.

There's been another School Shooting.

There was another school shooting today, it took place in a high school in Finland. The shooter killed 8 people, he then tried to kill himself but failed and was sent to the hospital.

What makes this even stranger is that shooter posted a video on YouTube with him explaining his plan to attack the high school. The video has been removed by YouTube.

American Gangster.

I'm a huge fan of mob movies like GoodFellas, The Departed, Casino, and Gangs of New York. Well, right now there's another great mob movie for me to like it's American Gangster, which I saw on opening weekend.

American Gangster is based on true events, it stars Academy Award winners Denzel Washington, and Russell Crowe, who were really great in the film.

I highly recommend you see this film, if like action and drama, and the mafia, then American Gangster is the film for you. Trust me, this movie is incredible.

Happy Halloween.

Well it's Halloween, I'm not trick or treating this year because I think I'm a little too old, plus we already got candy at my house. I'll still be celebrating though, I'm handing out the candy to all the kids, I'll be dressed up as Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street," my all-time favorite horror movie.

I also have one more Halloween movie recommendation for ya guys.

Movie Recommendation #19

Movie: Freddy vs. Jason, 2003

The two most recognizable icons in horror films meet up in this very entertaining horror movie.

Having been brought out of the dream world and killed in the real world four years ago, the evil murderer Freddy Krueger is trapped in hell. Because the police and adults of Springwood, Ohio has destroyed all records of Freddy ever existing, the new children of Springwood have no knowledge of Freddy, making it impossible to fear him, making Freddy completely powerless. If Freddy could just make them be afraid again, he could return. Freddy then draws up a plan and brings back to life the brutal serial killer Jason Voorhees and sends him to Springwood. Jason commits a few murders in Springwood, causing the police and adults to fear that Freddy is back. Eyewitness accounts however saw that it wasn't Freddy, but it's already too late as Freddy returns for real. Freddy expects Jason to go back to Camp Crystal Lake where he belongs, but Jason continues his rampage on Springwood. Freddy becomes furious because Jason keeps killing "his children." Freddy decides to take Jason out, and out of his terroritory for good. The ultimate battle of Evil vs. Evil begins.

Freddy vs. Jason is a satisfying film to enjoy, the movie has a good balance between suspense, horror, and gore making it a very decent film to enjoy.

Movie Recommendation #18.

Here's another horror film for you guys to enjoy on Halloween.

Director John Carpenter who brought you the 1978 horror classic "Halloween," gives you another horror masterpiece.

Movie: The Thing, 1982

A 12 man American research team in the Antartica has discovered the remains of an alien space shuttle hidden beneath the ice for over 100,000 years, along with a frozen alien still intact. After bringing the alien to the lab for examination, the alien thaws out and a terrifying experience begins for the research team. The alien infects each man and transforms them into disgusting, grotesque monsters, which is the alien's attempt to mimic a human being. In the middle of nowhere, with no chance of help, the research team is now in a fight for their lives and must destroy the mysterious alien before they become it.

On of the greatest Sci-Fi/Horror films ever created, The Thing is probably the most grusome and disturbing film you'll ever see.

The Thing, 1982

Movie Recommendation #17.

Not a lot of votes, but most people voted for Friday the 13th.

Movie: Friday the 13th, 1980

One of the earliest slasher fims created, Friday the 13th started the basic settings and characteristics of what makes up current horror films today.

In 1958, two camp counselors were brutally murdered at Camp Crystal Lake. Police couldn't find enough evidence to arrest a suspect, as a result Camp Crystal Lake was shut down. A year later the Camp Crystal Lake was re-opened, but it was quickly closed again due to poisoned water, and Camp Crystal Lake is now officially shut down forever. The citizens have nicknamed it "Camp Blood," and believe that Camp Crystal Lake is cursed. Many years have passed and once again Camp Crystal Lake is re-opened again with young camp counselors hoping to make the best of the new camp. As night falls, the unidentified killer responsible for previous felonies on Camp Crystal Lake has returned, and once again begins to hunt down all the camp counselors. The camp counselors must now band together and escape the clutches of the killer before they become the latest victim.

Hailed as on of the greatest horror films ever made, that also sparked a legendary horror franchise itself, Friday the 13th is a great film with lots of suspense and horror.
