I had really high expectations for Avatar once I learned it was a film by James Cameron. The man who made The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Aliens. All three are some of the best films I had ever seen. Although I was a bit skeptical about the plot, it started looking weird and hooky as I read the details.

But I went and saw it, and I'm glad I had high expectations. Avatar was a really good movie. The plot was still a little weird, but it was straight forward and that's what made it enjoyable. The actors did a good job, and nearly all the characters had great dialogue and were likable. But what really stole the show was the special effects. Every creature, gadget, and robot all looked so real it almost felt like they were there in the theatre.

The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I just feel I would've liked the movie more if it had ended differently.

So overall, it's a pretty good movie. I highly recommend you see it in 3D to get the full experience.
