Not a lot of votes, but most people voted for Friday the 13th.
Movie: Friday the 13th, 1980
One of the earliest slasher fims created, Friday the 13th started the basic settings and characteristics of what makes up current horror films today.
In 1958, two camp counselors were brutally murdered at Camp Crystal Lake. Police couldn't find enough evidence to arrest a suspect, as a result Camp Crystal Lake was shut down. A year later the Camp Crystal Lake was re-opened, but it was quickly closed again due to poisoned water, and Camp Crystal Lake is now officially shut down forever. The citizens have nicknamed it "Camp Blood," and believe that Camp Crystal Lake is cursed. Many years have passed and once again Camp Crystal Lake is re-opened again with young camp counselors hoping to make the best of the new camp. As night falls, the unidentified killer responsible for previous felonies on Camp Crystal Lake has returned, and once again begins to hunt down all the camp counselors. The camp counselors must now band together and escape the clutches of the killer before they become the latest victim.
Hailed as on of the greatest horror films ever made, that also sparked a legendary horror franchise itself, Friday the 13th is a great film with lots of suspense and horror.
