Movie: A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors, 1987
Type: Horror
Child murderer Freddy Krueger has been waging a riegn of terror on the children of Elm Street. The surviving children are reluctant to sleep and delusional that they are placed in psychiatric ward. The doctors try everything but nothing seems to help the children, the ward soon calls in Nancy Thompsan: the sole survivor of Freddy's first dream massacre on Elm Street. Nancy makes friends with another doctor named Niel, Nancy tells Niel what is really happening and that he must help her with the children and defeat Freddy once for all, Niel agrees to help. Niel then meets a nun who happens to more about Freddy than Nancy, the nun tells Niel that Freddy can only be defeated if he's "laid to rest." As Niel searches for Freddy's remains, Nancy leads the Elm Street children in a full waged battle against Freddy.
I give it 2 1/2 stars
The Good: Co-written by the original Elm Street creator Wes Craven gave it somewhat of a boost, good special effects and acting.
The Bad: Some new was added to this movie that led to the downfall of the Elm Street series, for instance people were able to share each others dreams, and I'm like "What the hell?" Another bad thing was the somewhat disgusting scene where Freddy ripped off his sweater and the faces of the kids he killed were on his chest moaning and screaming.
Overall not that bad, but the first Elm Street will always be the best one.
