@Croag821:

He simply stated how it felt to him upon trying it, he didnt talk about any game specific features, he didnt upload any photos or videos and he spoke nothing about the storyline or anything, The NDA was not disrespected by any means.

I will add that I too gave the game more of a shot than it desrved in my opinion. Honestly for me it did feel bland and the animations were subpar. I went in and really wanted to give the game a proper testing while reporting issues but damned if I didnt fall asleep everytime I went to play it. I have been having a real big itch for a great , time absorbing MMO and had high hopes for this game only to be let down.

I must disagree, I hate seeing everyone say that its going to happen eventually anyway with their tails between their legs, Money talks and let me tell you "PC GAMING" has all but died in comparison to console so lets adopt the PC GAMING MODEL. seriously PC has some great games and ideas but developers have been using DRM on just about everything for well over 10 years, first it was just cd keys which could be used to install the game an infinite amount of times to as many pc's as one wants. Now CD Keys can be activated a limited amount of times and then your calling customer service to have them increase your cd key usages.

The only Reason so many have been adopting consoles and the gamer pool is as large as it is today is because PC gamers hate DRM too, Diablo 3 lost alot of players only recently because its a game that can be should be allowed offline but they make you connect to their servers to play it single player anyways, servers go down, you cannot play..

Granted people still buy PC games because they really are far nicer looking with alot more shaders and power behind them, some simply cannot fathom playing games with gamepads all the time and prefer the keyboard and mouse, However Gamers tend to leave games behind when DRM hinders them at every turn..

I shiver when I realise that someday all my MMO games that I hold dear will someday just not be there and all that time put in will no longer mean anything. servers shut down and its like it never happened, I have no game, my data was all stored on a server..its not good in any form..what ever happened to hosting a room of instanced play where people connect to your IP address as an option.

MMO even though you have a disc are basically like all digital, you dont need the disc once your account is created and game is registered to you. However the online requirement for any games is just bad, as this generation will end and servers may not stay up as long as you would think.People put 3,000 hours into monster hunter games and the online for those is down now//Nobody wants that.

The way things have been with consoles up until now you could hand the system down to a little one when they are old enough to play it, all that money doesnt go to waste and now someone else can appreciate it for their first time.

Your spot on with the family game sharing, I bet that while someone plays a copy of your digital games it would kick them off as soon as you decided to play said game, it would be a series of people thinking the game simply errored out and disconnected you and people would be trying to reboot the game and kicking one another. You can kind of do that now by sharing accounts with others, my kid and nephew switch up once in a while as it is for eachothers arcade games.

I wasn't really surprised with the review, seems like games for Nintendo haven't been getting good reviews since the Game Cube daysLos9090

Not entirely true, Yes wii had alot of shovelware, more than any other console ever, However it had many games with abnormally high scores, some of those games somehow rated so High in fact they went into the best games of all time catagory.

I didnt skip it and bought the game and played it for about 4 hours before I basically threw up in my mouth a little. The only things in my opinion that was any good about the game was the sense of dread that it genuinely gives you while playing due to the ambience and hearing the zombies are nearby while trying to complete a task and avoid becoming infected and some of the uses of the gamepad..

Honestly though, the more I played the more aware I became as to what a turd the game was...Graphics are not everything by any means but this game takes the cake for crappy visuals, the over used green / grey filters is abysmal and the controls whether intentional or not are very slow and clunky.

Now upon seeing the demo videos when they first started popping up and playing the finished copy was dissapointing as I rather enjoyed what I had seen and had the expectation that it would have improved significantly from that time and now but it didnt and I realised I really loved the first moments of the game and ignored the lazy developement cause I do enjoy games which make me feel fear or dread, but alas after a brief period of time the only dread I felt was for buying the game.

Thanks to the manager lady at gamestop for trading me up for equeal value and taking the turd from my hands. I got Tekken in place of this game and couldnt be happier with it. Also been enjoying Mario, Sonic, Nintendo land"somewhat" and the downloadable title Trine 2... will wait for Pikmin 3, monster hunter and bayonetta.

[QUOTE="KBFloYd"]

that's 3rd party for you now a days.... abunch of lazy devs that release patch after patch...

if you don't want to use the internet then buy nintendo games only.

Jaysonguy

The same Nintendo that had most of their console incomplete or broken at launch and need 2 updates to get most of it working?

Good advice

My system functioned perfectly fine without updating.. I played all my games and such..Now to unlock the other features such as miiverse you needed to update and to be quite frank who cares about an update, I update my 360 , PS3 almost everytime I turn around. oh and almost everytime I put a new disc in theirs an update for the game before playing. Every chance people get they bash on Nintendo. I lost faith and stopped using my original Wii due to the large Gaps between good games. The Wii U is going to be far more successful for a much longer time than ppl want to believe. Than in 5-6 years well see something even better yet that will once again be successful and thats when theyll have a genuine edge on raw horsepower.. In the meantime I say let microsoft and sony get overly ambitious and sell at a loss and as soon as they start seeing profit theyll have a new contender with far better launch titles out for it. If the competition doesnt sell at a loss they wont have a very noticable edge to begin with. While all this goes down I will play The 360 , Wii U and enjoy the PC as much as time permits..

I hardly see how its the dumbed down version the only thing its going to lack at launch is the elite subscription package thats available on the other two consoles, you get DLC content and the grphics are going to be a minute amount more pleasing on the Wii U because the game will be true native 720p upscaled to 1080p. Other can have there other versions with below 720p gaming.

Actually upon reading into this more and more your right and your wrong, the person with the gamepad in Mario multiplayer has optinos on how to play as additional player either play classic or in the other mode it is not forced that player 2 simply drops blocks. The only ime I believe your forced to play dropping blocks is when there are 5 ppl, 4 playing the game and the 5th then being on the gamepad dropping blocks etc.

I agree, I was tired of D3 after the frist 2 weeks, I made it to act 4 Inferno and that was it for me.. not because it was soo insanely difficult but because its a short game and is incredibly repititious.. GW2 is freaking amazing but nothing like D3 really, its a true MMO with a enormous world to explore.. I simply do not see anyone not liking GW2 if they give it a chance and put past mmo/rpg game mentality aside and except that it is just differant and only holds onto enough to make it feel familiar at the same time.

With this info I might not get the game, if you have to pay for boosts what other things will they make you pay for. Can't get past a certain level until you pay x amount. Companys are just plain gettin greedy, you should be able to get xp boosts using in game gold that you earned by playing the game. Maybe have them be expensive and you can only use one a day week or how ever long it is for.

shadowl

Please do not misunderstand, the xp boost isnt like you click it and boom you get a huge instant chunk of EXP. no you use it and it gives you slightly better exp per kill, thing is kills dont give squat anyway and they only became useful during the beta weekends because sooo much content was off limits and after level 28 leveling became more difficult and if you are like me you get tired of repeating events.

So I resorted to using xp boost and kill grinding and doing daily's .. mine some nodes, cur down some trees, harvest some plants and then kill kill kill..Not because the game makes you grind but because being beta I was basically out of content. then lvl 30 came and BWE2 was upon us.. we now had a new area to explore for my level so killing stuff became fun again, doing events in Gandarren fields was fun and I even got some cool looking armor by level 32 and participated in the ascalon catacombs dungeon which was cool.

Fact is the game wasnt complete, content was blocked which is understandable because after lvl 35 everyone kind of gets drawn together and the real story starts.. yeah up to lvl 35 is basically just pre-searing.. its a large grandios pre-searing...remember being excited just to play pre-searing only to find out that wow the game is soo much better now .. I do...had no clue because I was a soloist.

Anyway the game is going to be much better come launch as content will be everywhere and if you slow your roll youll get to 35 in no time flat. then the game will gear you into pure awesomeness.

Also the xp boost and all other items really offer no advantage and can be bought by trading your in game gold for gems and then buying whatever crap it is that your into.. all of these items are also obtained by playing the game so it really does not matter.
