who hoo i am the best.......

well look at that. level ten. hmmmm ...reminds me of the movie Flight of the Phoenix....

My Basketball season came to an end about two weeks ago. I  came a very long way to come to where i am today. First my season started late because of a MCL football injury i suffered before our Super Bowl. (which we won). After an injury like that i was not supossed to play the whole year. But it only took me a freakin' MONTH AND A HALF TO RECOVER!!!!!

So i tried out for the A-team the day before our fisrt tournament, i made it but didnt play at all, so we went 0-2. With loses to St.John's Lombard and St.Paul Mt.Prosepect.

After that weekend we had two weeks to prepare for a re-match against Lombard. That Friday night i didn't start but came off the bench getting 11boards and 8 pts. and we won. haha

After i proved my self in that game i finally manged to earn a spot at Power Foward. im about 5"9 5"9 1/2 so thats not too small. We then got things rolling going on a winning streak until we played Arlington Heights. Their guards were my height and the center was 4inches taller than ours so that game ended quickly. Our next game was against Immanuel Palatine which was easliy one of the better teams in the league so we hard our work cut out for us. We held them off by a few pionts at the end of the 3rd qaurter. But with 3min left they went on a 10-0 run and we never recovered so we lost.

We had the annual SPIT tournament and we did pretty well in that one. Easily beating the first two teams which set-up a rematch with Mt.Prospect. Which unfortuntly we lost. When our center who is hands down our best player fouled out in the fourth pretty cheeply. Their a big team for 8th graders, 6"2,6"1, and 6"1 and some smaller gaurds. Well we lost that game so we took 2nd place.

We won some games and lost some in a months strech. When the Walther Tournament came up we realized this was our last chance to make it to STATE. We won our first game single-handedly and then faced a big, athletic team in River-Forest. We \won that came but i injured my wrist going into the 'ship against our Conference leader St.John Wheaton. At half-time they were up about 12pts and our coach was furious. We came out hot going on an 8pt run and played them even with 2min left in the fourth. At that piont they broke down and we won by 4pts.

With all our conference games up we finished 2nd overall to St.John Wheaton  losing the series 1-3. Lomabard 2-2, Naperville took the series 2-0 and against Schaumburg took them 3-0.

With JLIT in Wisconsin, coming up at the end of Feb we were really psyched. Its easily the best tournament of all of them. We won the first game and then lost he next day to a team from Milwaukee. Causing us to face Lombard. We played man in that game which put me against their better player which HAD a good shot until i guarded him.;D we played a long hard game and came up with a "W". Which put us in the third place game. Which we won convincingly.

The next Tuesday we were matched up against Marengo to determine if we would get a spot in STATE. We won 60-32 it was a joke.

We got the 12th spot out of 16 teams and 11th last year. We played a close game against Edwardsville but lost by 8. Then we beat Grace again and then a team from Chicago. Putting us in the Consolatinon Game against Wheaton.  We played them closely again but they hit a 15fter shot to go up by one.  We ran and Iso motin to our center when our SG put a jumper that  bounced out then a stuggle for the ball caused time to expire. So thats 2 years in a row with consolation runnerups. Since we lost our first game we couldnt qualify for NATIONALS but we finsihed the season. 17-11. The offical end was awards night which i recived Most Versitale Player. Then lost to the Adults by 4 whch was the closest game ever.

 

 

We all know xmas came and hopes of getting xbox360s were crushed, but im here to tell you about what I got.

On Christmas Eve i got gift cards, for Best Buy, Barnes and Nobles, Weber Restraunt, and checks. They were all worth 25 dollars a peice. Also i got a "Monday Night Football" remote, and some other pretty cool gadgets and other stuff.

On Christmas Day i received: a poker table, a videogame rocker chair, a Laptop, some more money and gift cards, and some cool gadgets and other stuff.

We beat Lomabrd this Friday. 28-27. I had 6-8 pionts and 10-11 rebounds.:lol: Im partying hard, but have highschool placemnet test at 8 tomarrow. Wheaton murderd lomabrd so we have our work cut out for us.
