I may be gone but you are not forgotten!

Hey guys just a note to let you know I am having a few real-life issues at the moment which means my TV.Com-life is taking a back seat. Nothing too serious just lots of stuff happening that I need to deal with...

I may not be around on here too much and I am missing reading all you blogs etc already. Hope everyone is o.k. and I hope to get back on track sometime in the next few months. I will be checking in on the forums when I get a chance so hope to see you all there.

So until next time or au revoir as my french friends would say,

Cold Reveal and the Face of Bo!

Already posted this in the anything and everything CSI NY thread but though I would post it here as well it had me so wound up. I am off to a conference this week so will be aroud less than usual - see ya on the flip side and have a good week:D

Just got to say this somewhere and this seems as good a place as any - Cold Reveal was on last night in the UK - has to be one of the worst CSI NY episodes ever! Really disappointed, poorly written sloppy storylining (Adam now remembers he misplaced a vial of Stella blood and it might have accidentally have been put in CODIS! What? I have faith in the lab work now, whose blood is this by the way...!), rubbish dialogue "What is haunting you Stella? I don't know Danny I really don't." Casting was awful, how was that woman old enough to be Stellas foster mother and how was the angel guy 18? please and I am Cameron Diaz in Shrek 3!

And if you don't watch the other show (Cold Case?) which I don't it just seems bizzarre that the Philly detective guy gets so much screen time like you are supposed to know what is going on and who he is...why let a suspect in the case deal with the evidence as well and what were Danny and Lindsay in the episode shop mannequins? Ohhh we better give them a line so that people don't forget they are around. What was going on?

It is something when about the only scene I enjoyed was the trigonometry (I can't spell it and and I don't understand it) scene with Hawkes and Adam, AJ looked seriously cute and Hill had great glasses in this episode but really that was the highlight of the episode, heck it ws the only bit that didn't really tick me off or leave me feeling like I wanted to switch over...

I know a lot of this might have been said at the time when it was shown in the US but this was the first time I have seen it and I was really fed up afterwards, the whole thing just seemed lazy like they couldn't be bothered, some bits of both storys seemed to have huge chunks missing so you couldn't follow it and everything was bunched in together. I hope we don't get anymore like this Mr AZ! Not one of the best efforts...

There I feel better, sorry about the rant!!!

On a more positive note - how AWSOME was the DR WHO finale - can't believe the final scene with Captain Jack and his modelling career comments - the Face of Bo *cough*, laughed so hard I cried and yeah o.k. Freema was great in this episode, I finally get her character, hope she come back for S4. Can't wait until Xmas special and bring on Torchwood S2!

Facebook.com, my new toy! or should that be monster! Good vs Evil?

O.k. so one of my students inviteed me to join them on FACEBOOK.COM and I thought o.k. lets check this things out and now I seem to have created a monster which has taken on a life of its own...! I have made contact with a girl I went to primary school with and 2 of my college flatmates who I haven't seen for at least 10 years, numerous people at work who I have never even met and students galore sending me stuff via it!

How much do I want my students to know about me in my off time, that seems to be the crucial question? I seem to be finding out way too much about some of them!

The best bit is I have not quite figured out if it (facebook.com) is a good or a bad thing (although I do notice that Carmine has a profile on there so it can't all be bad, always presuming it is him on not just some nutter pretending to be him!:P)

Unfortunatley there seem to be some nasty anti-Anna/Lindsay and anti-DL people on there in the CSI NY groups as well so that is not in its favour. Has anyone found a nice CSI NY group on there - they all seem a bit negative for supposed fans which I always think is weird - why use you energy like that?

Wonder if these are the same negatives that hang out on another CSI web page that I no longer frequent?

All mad ramblings of technologically confused (and slightly hungover) individual - hmmm maybe I will get another profile - one personal stuff /one students only - wonder if I can do that...

*wanders off to investigate...*

Where have I been and other general musings...

Been a whole week since I last posted. Don't know where it has gone but it has been end of semester and so had a lot of panicking student to deal with.

Not gotta a lotta time now actually gotta go an have a bit of a life today after this week but just gotta say - DR WHO!

Last Saturdays episode was just la creme de la creme (apologies if I have spelt that incorrectly) David Tennant, John Barrowman and John Simms - it was all too much to bear at one point. I love the Doc but Captain Jack is just something else:P I love that we got to find out why he can't die now as well as that had been bothering me and when he was in the radiation chamber and was talking to the doc through the door that was so sad. And we got to see Rose again. Sorry I again don't quite get Martha, she just isn't growing on me which is such a shame.

When I realised who the prof really was as well my mum and I were practically jumping off the sofa and she is not a woman prone to that sort of excitement over a TV programme.

Can not wait for the next 2 instalments and then hopefully we wil get Torchwood back sometime in the Autumn. Oh Autumn TV schedules I can't wait! Big Brother is just so blah and I don't even watch the thing.

Anyways gotta go, hope you are all well, I will come and roam and comment on other blogs sometime later in the weekend to see what you have been up to.

You call this a summer!!!

Bah humbug!:evil::twisted::evil:

o.k. mid June and it has rained all day! I got wet on the way to work and even wetter on the way home!

More rain is forecast for the next 5 days. Is there really any point in calling it summer? Should we not just have Autumn all the year round now?:(

To top it all it is also so cold and windy I had to get my mac out of hibernation as my summer jacket wasn't warm enough...:cry::cry:

o.k. feeling a bit better now, :) off to have a nice long warm bath and try and pretend I am on holiday somewhere sunny with Danny Messer ;).

*We are by the sea...cocktail for me, beer for him obviously...* oh yeah this daydreaming business is working a treat!

Dentists - think of me!

O.k. I have got to go dentist this morning. Haven't been for nearly 10 years - yeah I know I know but I haven't had any problems and it just sort of falls down the list.

Feeling a little bit apprehensive to say the least - I spent a lot of time at the dentists as a kid after I knocked a load of teeth out in an accident and have never been that keen on them. I have finally managed to get an NHS dentist to take me on though so figure I should get back on the band wagon.

But :cry::cry:...could be worse though I guess - I could be at work;)!

Ahhh lifes all shades of grey...

Oh yeah - Hamilton, Heidfield and Wurz - BRAVO!!!

Canadian GP was insane but fantastic! Hope Kubica is better soon that was a scary crash. And Taku Sato, I was clapping like a fool when you overtook Raikkonen and Alonso. :D

I always have to support the underdog, just some thing in me. Shakes up the Championship as well can't wait for Indy!

London 2012 and all that Jazz!!!

O.k. 2 posts in one day, too much time on your hands Lou!

Just gotta say what a bl**dy waste of space, money, time and effort the new London 2012 Olympic logo is. Seriously I think the fact that it is coming here is great, really excited, can't wait but what on earth does that mess of coloured blobs say about sport, London, the UK? Nothing that is what looks like some 3 year old potato printing. How it has cost £400,000 I will never know. I would be asking for a refund if I was the committee.:x

(If you haven't seen it check out the bbc.co.uk News pages or just google it and let me know your opinions)

Oh well only a few weeks until Wimbledon which is a great British Icon of the sporting world and it can show the OC how it should be done. Of course Federer will will win again but I am more than happy to while away a couple of weeks watching him thrash all those that dare to fight him....

I feel much better now ;)

Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat and other Saturday night musings!!!

O.k. another rant about English TV so sorry for all those wondering if i have lost my marbles!

So it is the final of Joseph and I am still gutted about Ben being kicked off last week and am now in a complete predicament about who to vote for this week. I am trying not to think too much about it as I am obviously putting the kiss of death on to my faves, I mean Anthony went, then Ben. I think Lee will probably get it but is it just me or is that such a boring and prediactable choice?

Another Dr Who - wish I was excited but the last couple of episodes were good they just weren't great. They left me feeling slightly disappointed. And Freema, I want to like her, I really do but sometimes I just don't think she is quite up there with David, not sure she can hold her own like Billie Piper used to.

What else do we have Daze of Wine and Roses - oh bliss, Danny and Linds back together in the lab flirting, what a great way to finish an evening. Looking forward to it.

F1, in the afternoon, Qualifying in Canada - how I miss Jacques Villeneuve:cry:, if you just weren't such an opinionated so and so you might still have a drive but hey it was because he was so fiery that I loved ya, I guess i can't have everything - gotta be rooting for Hamilton and Alonso again. Just hope that the ITV show doesn't keep banging on about Schumacher again. Guys he has gone (good riddance IMO) get over it and get on with the great racing that we have with those drivers that are fighting one of the best seasons since the mid 90's.

That folks is pretty much my viewing Saturday this week - just gotta get through the rest of today first now ;)

CSI LV - Lab Rats

This CSI episode was on here last night. - Lab Rats.

I don't follow CSI LV as obsessively as I do CSI NY (so I wait for it to be shown on TV in UK) but I still love it and this episode has just gone straight into my top 5 (number 2 I think, Gum Drops is still my fave).

Fantastic episode, really well written and constructed, Hodges was a class apart esp the "Lucky Day" sequence and I loved seeing more of the Lab Rats, always had a bit of a thing for Archie and he was so cute in the hat ;)

It was a great way to bring the casual viewer up to date with minature serial killer episodes so far and show how the "little" guys help the CSI's solve cases.

Also do I detect a certain "frisson" between Hodges and Wendy - love in the Lab, so cute, but then we knew that anyway.:D (Oh yeah and when Hodges said the MK cases were keeping Gil up at night, my mum said its is more likely Sara and laughed like a mad woman! Who knew she was a GSR shipper - you think you know people:shock:).

If you haven't seen this episode yet I really do recommend it.

Oh yeah, I am getting a new DVD player today - couldn't watch Hush for the episode club this week as the darn thing wasn't having it, normal service will hopefully be resumed next week.
