Damn that description of the game was jarring to read. I have zero interest in it now. I just don’t play multiplayer games, and the game expecting you to play matches to make any kind of progress further proves this is a straight up online multiplayer subscription game. No thank you.
Art direction looks super generic and what’s up with these rumors that it requires your information such as your personal number, and an internet connection? It’s a single player game. That makes no sense and makes the developer seem very shady. Hard pass, I won’t support this.
The lack of Ender Lilies + Ender Magnolia is rather depressing and insulting considering that franchise is better than A LOT of the games on this list, some of which hardly even classify as Metroidvanias.
@Slannmage: The only thing PC won was bad ports and overpriced computer parts. Enjoy the tariffs. PC gaming was already too expensive for no reason and now it’s worse.
They should have done this a long time ago to stop tricking people into thinking the games are exclusive. I genuinely laugh when I see Xbox fanboys falsely saying “Microsoft had a better showcase” when all they showed was multiplatform games. They even tried that with Indiana Jones and it was literally announced for PS5 shortly after, before the Xbox version even released. It was never exclusive yet they tried to pretend it was.
They were never fooling anyone except Xbox diehards. Either way, I haven’t seen the point of owning an Xbox for years now. They even announced Forza for PS5 now. Just lol.
Yikes, and to think that certain fanboy loyalists were trying to hype this up like a modern Skyrim or GOTY 2025 or whatever. This game will lose tons of money, especially with everyone already saying, “yeah well at least it’s on Game Pass.” Yeah, and it will sell like 12 copies, which will lead to a massive budget cut for Obsidian or studio closure in the end, just like Tango. Game Pass downloads barely help a developer. HiFi Rush had 4 million downloads and it still made no money.
@daidochus: Where’s Astro Bot on PC? 94 Metacritic, highest rated game of the year and will win GOTY if FF7 Rebirth doesn’t, another GOTY contender that isn’t on PC. Where is it, and what great PC games came out this year that isn’t on consoles? Keep waiting for console games on PC, there’s nothing else. Waiting is the only game you guys play these days. 10 years later still no Bloodborne.

I’ll let you get back to your waiting game while I get back to Astro Bot, Stellar Blade, FF7 Rebirth, Spiderman 2, etc. You know, playing actual great games that aren’t available anywhere else.

Ok. I’m playing these games years before you can. Square-Enix and other 3rd party devs treat PC like an after thought, which is why PC gets so many trash ports like Elden Ring and Star Wars Jedi Survivor, both of which run like turds even on a $3,000 PC. Welcome to PC gaming. Pay more to get less and cry about console exclusives.
