Well... I can't say I'm not glad they laid off the speed thing. Just because Sonic the character runs fast doesn't mean Sonic the game doesn't have to be slow enough and have enough to do besides running to actually play. Otherwise, you're just watching.

I don't like the looks of Sonic Boom. I'm interested to try it for myself, but short of a miracle, there's no way I'm buying it. Still waiting for a Sonic game that takes the general idea of modernizing and generalizing that they had before Colors, and takes the time to do it THOROUGHLY.

It doesn't even have to be an SA3 (although I would love that). Just a fully 3D game that's primarily a platformer, with speed mixed in strategically, multiple characters (and not just the Genesis-Crew-plus-Amy), half-realistic and half-cartoony graphics, a setting inhabited by people instead of... whatever the things in Boom are, the multi-genre cool soundtrack Sonic used to have, and getting back to multiple platforms.

Balance, in other words. That would be great!

Problem is, "poor controls and tediousness" is a matter of opinion.

And no, hard games aren't always "great". They tend to drive people away, after a certain point, actually.

Not to say challenge is a bad thing. But that's a separate issue from being "hard".

Huh. I must be a master of everything Sonic, then. Because I mastered Sonic 06 more times than I can count. Collected every silver medal and everything, at least once on both consoles. Played several copies of it, at friends' houses and at a couple parties. Nailed it down.

Pre-ordering says to publishers and developers that their time and money is well-spent on delivering a game that the public wants to play as soon as possible instead of searching all over for it. Why should I have to wait to play the conclusion of the true main series of AC (before they undoubtedly begin to milk it devoid of all its worth) if a system exists to deliver to me on time? As a paying customer, I'm worth more then that. The pre-order system is fine.

@mitis77 According to them, they were just offering, "constructive criticism." The type of people Ms. Hefeler had to deal with are not only the type who think their opinions are more important then everyone else's, they're also the type who believe they can do no wrong. So, they rage, rant, and troll, but then when somebody calls them out on their immaturity, they sit there and scratch their heads and pretend they don't get it.

Gemer entitlement doesn't exist. It is in no way up to the players instead of the developers to decide how a game should play or what context its story falls under. It's their job to play it and form an opinion for what it is. And if they have issues with it, then they have every right to respectfully voice their discontent, but then shut their insolent mouths and go on with their lives.

There are SO many good points here. Dispose of the extraneous nonsense. Get back to ACII fun. And DON'T botch the story any further. Don't put Desmond back in the Animus or start on a new ancestor's story. Just put a long story together that ends with the world being saved from both the Templars and the Sun. Do NOT kill off Desmond, do NOT kill off Shaun or Rebecca or William. Don't introduce some new woman to replace Lucy (which is the worst of all your decisions, Ubisoft). Just end it… And most importantly, DO NOT MILK THE SERIES AFTER THIS. End it, and let AC stand in history for what it is.
