I've never copy/pasted my posts......LJS9502_basic
Okay, I'll have to admit that not that many people copy arguments verbatim. What I should have said is that the same general points are made in most threads with very little in the way of results.
So I was lurking around the forum, and of course ran into the bi-daily religion/politics cluster@$%k. As anyone who has been on OT for more than a week can attest, these threads are filled with sometimes hundreds of posts that seem to be nothing more than the same arguments copy/pasted from yesterday's thread. I guess what I'm trying to say is, has anyone actually changed their opinion on something or anything due to an online discussion?
Well, since China is a communist nation, what's supposed to happen is that the government owns every buisness, and all the profits those buisnesses make go to the government, which the government is then supposed to spend on social programs to help the rest of the people. That's what the Chinese government will tell you. As to how they make their money, they have over a billion unskilled laborers working in manufacturing and similar jobs, with little to no environmental and labor regulations. China then corners the market in cheap labor which makes a select few people in the country rich enough so that they can hire scientists and engineers to start to break into the "higher" forms of industry.
I liked the McCain of 2000. The problem is, that McCain lost to Bush, and now he thinks that the only way to become president is to follow Bush's path. He's changed his position on almost every position he previously had into one's that he thinks will give him support from the die-hard conservative lockstep voters (sadly the only people that seem to vote these days). Obama is definately the better choice right now.
Wait, if the media is so in love with Obama, why the manufactured Wright/muslim/"Whitey" scandals? Everytime you try to pass BS like that off as genuine news, it takes away from any legitimate criticism that follows, like his signing that f&$*ing FISA bill.
That said, he's still the better candidate now that McCain has sold his soul.
Well, clearly this thread will filled with clever and origonal arguments by both sides and we will all leaeve today with a greater r4espect for everyone involved.
Seriously though, 4 pages of this with Christians with cut-and-paste arguments, and the Atheists have yet to respond in kind?
