Saturday Night Live is..... Funny?

The first two episodes of SNL this year has actually been REALLY FUNNY... its great that SNL has a solid cast once again with people like Adam Sandburg and Bill Heder and Fred Armasen(sp?), it's actually worth watching again

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_93EfHR7Ut8 - Kanye West yelling at everyone for losing everything, "HOW DID I NOT WIN THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, MAN, MY ALBUM WENT GOLD IN A DAY!"

http://youtube.com/watch?v=e0rq8nRQW_o - Kevin Federline Paranting Tips

http://youtube.com/watch?v=KoXGHw4hK60 - awesome Muppets segment, and Bill Heder is awesome as Animal

Death Proof DVD: Best Movie of the Year?

ok, maybe it's not, and I will admit it can drag on a bit(I actually find that if you watch it in two parts and take a break between it, the movie is much better), but still, Quentin Tarantino brings us another flipping unique as hell movie that looks like it can come straight from the 70's/80's, and shows that QT is the most entertaining Director today.

The first half is perfect, and builds up to an amazing set piece that leaves you breathless, and the while the second act isn't nearly as good(the restaurant scene is still way too long), the actors aren't as good(Tracy Thoms is in a completely different movie than everyone else) it still has the BEST car chase scene in a long, long time... it's diffenantly worthy of a rent at your local blockbuster.

And if you saw it in theatres, theres a couple of more scenes added that are REALLY good(Lapdance scene is AMAZING)

Overall - 90/100

as being a fan of Quentins, I set this movie up on a pedestool, and while he didn't perfectly deliver, this movie is great to watch(in parts) and can be considered one of the best movies of the year. And if Kurt Russel doesn't get nominated for an oscar, I will riot

Best of the Year(so far) lists, YAY!

I got bored.... so I came up with the lists....

Best CD:

"Icky Thump" - White Stripes

So far this year, pretty much all mainstream music has completely failed at putting out a worth-while CD, forcing music fans to once again findsmall CD's that aren't commercializedon TV.Sadly, this year, there has beenno big outbreakingband that came around this year like Wolfmother or Lupe Fiasco debuted last year. And all though there are critically aclaim CD's like Spoon's "Ga ga ga ga" and Arcade Fire's "Neon Bible", there has only been one CD that in my opinion, has truly stood out. Yes, the White Stripes oddly named CD, "Icky Thump" is the savior of music this year... done away with is the sappy piano music heard from "GetBehind Me Satan", and here wego again with Jack Whitedoing what he does best, playing the hell out of the guitar. This is the best CD White Stripes hasput out since "Elephant", and it puts them on top of the rock scene.

BEST MOVIE!!!!!

Compared to music, there have been A LOT of great movies. Hot Fuzz, Ratatoullie, Bourne Ultimatum, Knocked Up, Superbad, 300 are all considered for the best so far honor, but there was NOMOVIE EVER that left you with a feeling of excitement and pure joy like Grindhouse left you. You have 90 minutes worth of pure action and gore inRodriguez's Planet Terror, and some unbeleiveably amazing trailers fromEli Roth, Rob Zombie, Rodriguez, andEdgar Wright, and then you had one of the most amazing slasher movie you will ever see in Tarantino's Death Proof. Some might have called it too slow, some call it amazingly complex, some called it Tarantino just going wild, but everyonecan agree that the 30 minute car chase and how the movie ended made you want to jump out of your seat and yell "**** YEAH!"... Grindhouse wins.

BEST GAME SO FAR THIS YEAR WOW!

God of War II wins. There hasn't been many outstanding games so far this year, because the game business is retarted in many ways for cluttering up the holidays(See Also: this year), but God of War II blew everything AWAY. It was a truly satisfying and well paced campaign, and it made everyone unable to wait for the next God of War on the PS3.

Why Tim Schafer is a God

I go over and read at www.DoubleFine.com often, not cause of news on their next game, cause they will never announce anything....

I read cause of the excellent writing of one, Tim Schafer...... this could be the funniest thing I've laughed at in atleast a month

If you are unable to comprehend the above image, it is because your optical cortex has been tied into knots by primordial fear. What you are looking at--what your brain is trying to protect you from--is the image of a wild animal that recently attacked Double Fine Productions without provocation. It may just look like a tiny, brown bird, trapped in a plastic cake plate by some brave hero. But... well... yes, that is exactly what it is. But more interesting is what it WASN'T: It WASN'T not terrifying.

There were just a few of us here, working late, doing what we always do--killing ourselves to create a few hours of entertainment and joy for people who we have never met. And then this rabid hellion from the bowels of the sky burst forth through an open window, and showered us with terror and probably incurable flu. Beating its terrible wings, gnashing its horrible claws, shrieking mean-spirited obscenities it carved a jagged path through the unsuspecting air of our offices, finally descending to its unholy perch atop Lance's xbox dev kit. Where it proceeded to say nothing.

Several of our employees were already dead by this point. (Oh why did I hand out those cyanide capsules to every employee?) Those who were left had all passed out, or wet their pants, or lost interest and returned to work. But there were enough witnesses remaining that I could hear them gasp in awe as I fearlessly approached the handless, toothless, lipless abomination.

"We can do this the easy way," I said, "Or the hard way."

"Screw you, and your American Bill of Rights," it said to me, with its eyes.

"Birdie," I said, while slowly picking up the cake plate from Caroline's desk and wondering when the email went out about there being cake in the office and how I had missed it.

"What?" It thought, menacingly.

"Huh?"

"What were you going to say?"

"About what?"

"You said, 'Birdy,' like you were about to say something to me."

"Oh, sorry. I was thinking about cake. Where was I?"

My pupils dilated one millimeter. I slowed my heart rate down to one beat per minute. I voided my bowels as a precaution.

"Birdie," I said, "Now you're messing with a son of a *****!"

And before it could even draw its tiny gun, I slammed that hateful clot of feathers into that cake plate so hard, its dead relatives, cold in their graves, tasted frosting.

"Carry me to yon window," I said to the cheering crowd who had hoisted me upon to their shoulders. And when they did, I leaned out the window and opened the cake plate, and released the bird. This was last Tuesday, the 19th.

So next time you are eating cake at Double Fine, and you find a feather in your mouth, just be aware that you are tasting history.

Brilliant
