Slim PS3?

Wow. It's been a while since I last post something here. Anyway what are your thoughts on the slim PS3? There have been rumored flying all around the internet about it. I mean after the PSP Go images were leaked, and then confirmed to be real at E3 2009, what do you think about the slim PS3? Apparently some company (not Sony...but probably like an affiliate for Sony or something) requested to have those images removed that showed what many of us believe/hope to be is the actual slim PS3. If this slim PS3 does come out, then it looks like I'll probably (finally) be able to get my first PS3. Yes. I still don't have one, even after 3 years since its launch. But that's mainly because at launch $500 and $600 was far too much and then after those launch models were discontinued, Sony decided to release less-functional models of it to now where we don't have any BC with PS2 games and only a handful of PS1 titles. I'm hoping that Sony rectifies this supreme error in marketing and decision making and either brings it back into this new supposed slim PS3 or offers some sort of a download on PSN. I think the download route might be better as it could possibly be added to all the non-BC models. And I hope that in the future, Sony releases firmware updates that improve the BC list of games. Come on Sony!! Try to not mess up the PS3 even more with the slim PS3!!!!!!!!!!

Sony And PS3

So what do you guys think Sony will do with the PS3 in the future? Currently, the 80 GB Core and the upcoming 160 GB PS3s don't have backwards compatibility, only 2 USB ports, no media card ports, and still retail for $400 and $500. In my opinion, ultimately that is hurting Sony more because what good is it to "cut manufacturing costs" if the product itself is not purchased (as much)? I don't care about a bundled game, a big HDD, etc. I'd be ok with a 80 GB HDD & backwards compatibility. I personally don't intend on using the media card port as I'm fine with USB Flash Drives. I can always change the controller while playing a game on the PS3 or change it with a laptop while surfing the internet or doing some work. And you can always upgrade the HDD to a bigger one later. The fact that backwards compatibility is removed really ticks me off. I really want a PS3 but: 1. I don't have enough money to spend on it (yet). 2. Sony removed backwards compatibility. But I do intend on getting a PS3 as I've already purchased 2 PS3 games (brand new)...Devil May Cry 4 and Dynasty Warriors Gundam. What do you guys think? Do you think that Sony will eventually put back backwards compatibility? I'm guessing maybe after they stop making the PS2, then we might see a new model with backwards compatibility included, no media card ports, no included game, a Dual Shock 3, 1x composite video cable, a USB charger cable, the power cable, and like a 80 GB HDD on the PS3.

On The Spot

So, as many of you guys are aware, Don Francis (community admin) for GameSpot recently gave a preview of sorts to the upcoming game, Dragon ball Z Infinite World. As many of you are probably aware, he did make some huge mistakes. I'd just like to point out that his mistakes shouldn't be taken as a direct reflection of his overall Dragon Ball franchise knowledge. He probably just started playing the game so: a. he wasn't aware that there are Japanese voices b. he doesn't know if things transfer over if you have a save from a previous game Both of those are questions that I asked, and I'm glad that it was at least answered...somewhat. Anyway what do you guys have to say in response to the Infinite World portion that was included in this week's On the Spot? -- xxnike629xx
