forza 2 paintjobs

After I came back from OZ, I stopped paiting cars for a while but now I'm back in the business and here are some of the new ones that I made. There are a total of 4 of them. Any feedback would be appreciated too :)

First off is my Vader M3-gtr. I'm not too happy with the wordings because I only used the standard livery font, which isn't cool at all. Next is...

This is my 2nd Nissan Fairlady 350z. It's color scheme was based on the Forza Motorsport 2 logo and as such I call it the FM2 350z racer. This is the only racing vinyl that I think I did pretty well (all the others suck). On to the 3rd one which is...

the IPBA-M F50. I made it using the colours from IPBA's logo. I wish I could add a little more to make it look better but after hours of staring at it I just couldn't think of anything. Ok, the final one...

my current personal favourite is this cute Honda Midori Integra. It was my first successful attempt to make an anime vinyl and I must say, I'm pretty proud of it. It took me about abt 3-4 hours just to get the face done and an extra hour for the Kanji (Japanese characters) at the side. I used a whooping 246 layers of vinyl for the face alone and about 80 for the Kanji. I actually wanted to add a bit more to the background but I think its looks pretty good without it so just left it as it is. Theres still a lot to learn about the livery editor and I'm taking my time with that (whatever happens to a little something called 'studying'?)

Is there no such thing called gamermanship?

How often is it that you play online without listening to some other guy talk smack and spurt a string of those four letter words? From my experience, you cant almost easily count the instances that you play with a stranger that doesn't spout nonsense every 30 seconds. Now in sports, the attitude of maintaining good competetive spirits is called sportsmanship. It would be very good to have a similar attitude in competetive gaming so that players won't need to needlessly use the mute button on that one loudmouth who spoils the fun. Lets all play nice and clean so that everyone in the game can share their enjoyment. I really hope those of you who are reading this will give it thought, and lets start a culture of good gamermanship. I rest my case

The current console race

Lately I've been spending most of my gaming time with a particular racing sim that got me kinda addicted to it. As I was playing It suddenly occured to me about the console wars between the big three is a lot like racing. So now I'm gonna give you all my metaphor of what I think symbolizes the current situation in the world if video games...*ahem*

The 360 is in the lead, almost reaching top speed,

while the PS3 is about 5 seconds behind it, drafting.

It may or may not be able to catch up.

Finally the wii isnt with the race at all,

but drifting beautifully in its own pace.

The end.

video games and me

This is my first time writing a blog in gamespot. I used to write a blog on games on another site but my friends complaint that they wouldnt want to read anymore of my article on games so i decided that gamespot, a site that focuses on games wou;d be the best place to write about games.

First and foremost let me give a a history of my gaming background. I was born in 1985. I couldnt really remember the first game that I played but I believe it was a game called postman which i played on DOS and later hooked with tetris, in its first incarnation (i think it was). Although my gaming experience started on the PC, my deep interest in gaming developed when I was around 4 or 5 when my cousing got an NES. I remember we used to play Mario overnight for a few days. That was when i started to pester my parents into buying an NES of my own. A few years down the road, the next gen of gaming came. I was torn apart between the SNES and SEGA genesis as my parents said they would only buy one of them for me. Despite my love for Nintendo, I chose the genesis, cause I was super hyped about Sonic. I never regretted that choice because Sonic and Knuckles is still one of my fav game of all time and another game was a side-scroller shooter alien soldier. I would play those games for hours on end. I had a brother who studied overseas ever sinceI was little. He came back home when I was 12 and boy he sure brought back a major suprise. He was the one who introduced me to PlayStation. He didnt have a whole lot of games but he had some of the best that had to be offered at the time. Those games were crash, resident evil, need for speed, tekken, and FIFA. He told me that resident evil was his first PS game and because we never knew how important a memory card was back in the days, he had to finish the game in one sitting, often pausing when he goes to class, and restarts all over again if he dies. Looking at games nowadays with built in hard drive and all, its hard to imagine that video games would get so advanced in what to me felt like so short a time. Currently, I own an xbox 360 and a PS3. I had wanted to get a wii but my budget does not allow me to. Between the two console, I would have to say that I play the 360 much more than the ps3 because at the moment I have a lot more games for the 360 than the ps3...but that might not be the always the case as we are seeing a lot of good titles shipping in for the ps3 later on. I like playing video games. I enjoy video games.I love video games.
