DS does have a story and its a decent one , stop complaining about it since bet many of those saying story is weak didnt even took the time to investigate the souls lore nor try to comprehend the scares dialogs in the game. This is by far the best game I have played followed by of course Demon Souls. And I dont consider myself a fanboybut the feelings and emotions Dark souls caused on me no other game have been even close to generate. u like many an undead that resides in LORDRAN, a far land that fell under the course of the undead so now both the living and death share the land. Like many others you will want to revert this course on you and in the process you will save Lordran (you dont really realize the magnitude of your acts after the two bells are rang) so in order to revert this course you will need to collect the souls of the great lords that along with lord Gwyn defeated the dragons eras ago with the help of the dukea dragon that betrayed his own kind to help lord Gwyn in his plan (Seth the scaleless).so you need to light the very first bonfire that at the end of the game or u just can simply walk away and become the new lord of darkness.this is more less the main plot.

The game is far from release but I feel already cheated .and I dont want to be in Hidetaka Miyazaki feet neither obviously they are moving him out of the way to create a game more accessible so in another words they want bigger sales, widen the audience and piss on the face of us all devoted souls series fans (two special editions both DmS and DS) on pc and 360. Time will tell, and I am not doubting the talent on the two guys in charge nowbut trust me guys they just took away the SOUL of the Souls games by removing Hidetaka Miyazaki.

Id love to see more repercussion of covenants in the world, I mean the concept was great in dark souls but the output was poor, and NO I do not want more accessibility or information that is simply the best part of the souls series. Also the frame rate hopefully is not an issue in this time around (blighttown was almost unplayable). When it comes to multiplayer..P2P proved to be a pain so they need to work hard on that.
