Unfortunately, I have to say my Xbox 360. I've had to send it in twice, once due to the red ring, and the other due to some fault in the tray that scratched any disc I put in. (Fortunately, after it ruined Guitar Hero III, I didn't put any others in.) But, this isn't to say it's not a good console. It's the best console I've ever had, and I own both the PS3 and Wii as well. And now that Microsoft "found" the hardware problem, there should be no more red rings. :P
Steam and XNA (if you have the money, there are great features for XNA as well) are both great, and www.gametap.com is a good website to pay for old console games. (some are free as well).
This topic has gone on two pages without mentioning Halo 3? I think Halo does a good job of stopping this (except in Grifball, but that's one map) because they have so many different spawn points. Unreal Tournament 3 also does a good job with this. The problem is mainly CoD4. I don't like playing the multiplayer anyway, but that's just me. :P
The wouldn't be bad ideas, only if he knew what he was talking about. The developers are 'id' I belive. And yes, the game is a 3d FPS, I don't think there can be a 2d FPS. But I think the Side Scroller needs to be more on XBLA, I hate the Metal Slug series, that's just me.
