@pspearman: They probably pay their female employees the exact same wage as their male counterparts on a equal qualifications/job responsibility basis too. OH THE HORROR! We should riot! What a anti-women company!
I doubt this story is true. If anything whatever this thing is, it is more than likely just a prototype / dev-kit for a future Sony Console "TBD" ie.. PS5 or whatever just to test out what is the bare minimum specs they can get away with to make 4K games with. i.e. get it out there early to developers for feedback so they know what is minimum specs required. Fracturing a console market can only be a bad thing. Either admit you made a half-hearted console gen in the PS4/Xbone because console gamers are too cheap to buy anything that'd last 7 yr cycle and release early PS5/Xbtwo, or continue with the sub-60 fps, sub-1080p platforms.
Absolutely love the game, but wow... Darkzone is basically pointless with better gear drops from re-running the Challenging Missions. After 60 HRs I'm fully yellow slotted except for a pair of gloves. The difference between the piss easy levels 0 - 25, the "grindy" / DPS race levels 26 - 30, and then the tactical strategy gear optimised Challenging run CC fest is insane. Game feels completely different now at the 60 HRs mark than playing through early missions as a team of four with minimal skills, cohesion, tactics or what-not, but now at max gear / max level vs. waves of Level 32 shotgunners you really need to co-ordinate and lay down that CC. Absolutely brilliant. Just wish there was some sort of pro-PVP area rather than a PvEvP area that discourages any PVP. I get that it exists and I like that it exists, but they really need some more PVP game modes to give the game some life once your fully slotted.
@dookie_213: Yep challenge mode is an AWESOME challenge. Just beat first one today and got a yellow Holster finally that was an upgrade on the purple one I'd had forever. 498 firearms, 412 health 416 tech, 700 armour, -200% HP regen cooldown SO WORTH IT.
If this generation of consoles weren't gimped with pathetically weak GPUs and shared VRAM and RAM from the get-go none of this would be being talked about and the same 7-year cycle would repeat. But everyone was in race to the bottom of the barrel mode and console gamers don't want to shell out the cost of the system, so they sold you $300 worth of hardware that was out-dated by 2-year old PC parts the day it was announced. This has NEVER happened before. Every other console generation, consoles were subsidized in priced and packed with mid-high current PC equivalent performance. It's like they think they're so smart talking about something that won't even be in functional form until the 7 yr cycle is up anyway to hand wave away the fact that THEIR decisions led to the current predicament of their console titles looking pathetically weak vs 2160p and 1440p PC gaming.
