I replaced my original HD with a 160GB but during the process, I couldnt take the screw off the metal cage so right I am just using my ps3 with the new HD plugged into the system without the supporting metal cage; is this going to damage my ps3 in the short run while I figure a way to separate the metal cage?
also is ps3 capable of playing HD-DVDs or only DVD/blu?
yes i just tried it and it does workI found this posting in another forum, so I am going to try it when I get home. Anyone think this will work?

Your ps3 is not broken. what you have to do is insert your original cable and turn of the ps3 and turn of the switch at the back. place your finger on the power sensor then turn on the switch at the back WITHOU removing your finger from the power sensor. Wait for two beeps then release. What you did is a hard reset and should restore everything to normal. Your files and saved games will still be there but everything else (wallpaper, themes etc) will be back to factory settings. ACtually took me 2hours on hold with a sony rep to get mine fixed when this happened 6months agoEditorBrad
So i brought a ps3 early june and was gonna sell my 360 on ebay. But as time goes by I am beginning to have 2nd thoughts. One of the main reason (for most dual owners i guess) is money; After getting ps3 + MGS4 +oblivion + dualshock for 400 i ended up with 250 in my bank account and thought "OMG i am short on cash". I am a college sophmore but I never really spent that much money freshmen year, except for new 360 games i got like halo3 and others. I got great FinAid, getting a job next semester and will cover the 400 in no time so I am beginning to think maybe i dont need spending money now after all.
Another reason is the console and all those games I played for who knows how many hours. I have 7 games and I especially really enjoyed playing rainbow6. I am an elite4 in that game and kinda afraid i would regret selling that and/or miss new exclusives. also my live trial expired so I kinda dont want to pay 40bucks for live again. Actually thats one of the major reason I bought ps3; so in a sense I brought a ps3 for 360 bucks;)
the final reason is that I already asked my friend/hallmate and he told me hes bringing his 360 to the dorm. I am bringing my ps3 so I saw no point keeping my 360 when we can share each others consoles.
Lets just say I am "selling" my 360 on ebay rightnow and all of you guys are bidding. How much will you guys to bid? (Just getting a general idea)
xbox360 premium 20 gb great condition - wireless controller with battery charger- HDMI cable- free one month live- rb6 vegas- rb6 vegas 2- GRAW 2- ace combat6- armored core 4- halo3- burnout revenge- except burnout all games have near 100% unlocked save, also have a lvl 55 cod4 account, mass effect save with 2 level 57 characters-
so guys should i keep it or sell it?
