Why do undershirts come in resealable bags?

I took to Google and it gave me dumb answers, including something about firefighters in Florida in 1998?

You guys are smart. I can't figure it out.

Probably something like once upon a time it would allow you to try them on and then put them back in.

Anyone else dig the idea of a 5th player controlling the GamePad in SSBU where he is like a juggernaut/boss player against for regularly controlled smashers? I raised this idea on IGN forums. Really hope some sort of 5th controller idea is used like this in SSBU!

Why not just five player royales?

They could do both. Have 5 player fights. It'd be cool and a decent gimmick if they let you play as lets say, MasterHand on the gamepad.

Nintendo has no reason to give you a refund.  It was your mistake for being careless.

zootjeff
Yes. Thank you. And I'm sure if it happened to you, you'd be happy to pay 120 dollars for a 60 dollar game.

There is a pretty big difference between being happy to pay extra for a game and recognizing that you need to take care of your stuff. When your 2 year old gets older and crashes your car, you better have paid for full insurance on it because the car company is not going to give you a new car at cost. You have to pay extra if you want to avoid taking a loss on a broken game/or anything else in life. Next time you have two choices, pay extra for the insurance on the game, or make sure that your 2 year old never gets a hold of it because blaming Nintendo for something that they had no control over and expecting them to pay for your mistakes is juvenile no matter what your age.

[QUOTE="Avatar_Taxidous"]I smell a bruised ego from that Jaysonguy guy. Jaysonguy

Might want to check your antiperspirant

Why would someone wear "Jaysonguy bruised ego" flavored antiperspirant. The people one meets.

1. Nintendo doesn't have the money

2. Microsoft wont allow it's own properties to decrease in value

3. Microsoft doesn't need the money

Jaysonguy
Points two and three are quite possibly fair points but if you look at nintendos cash holdings they actually still hold a good 500 billion. Thats more than enough to buy rights to some franchises if they were willing to. Though I think its doubtful they would make such a move.

Happiness...

what's that?

I feel so lost....

I haven't played videogames in a long time...what's the meaning of all this anyway?

What's the way to be happy forever?

And become great?

GreekGameManiac
I posted here for a tiny bit awhile ago and peak in every once in awhile, I noticed that you seem to be having trouble so if you are serious, you might want to talk to someone maybe some kind of counselor or someone you trust if you have access to one. As it stands, life can mean whatever you want it to mean, cherish the small things as well as the people around you that make you feel good. Live for those around you if you have to as happiness is sometimes infectious. And greatness comes in many forms, what do you want to be great at. Think on that and you might find you are already as great as you need to be. If you discover the greatness you desire is still out of reach then you will have already taken the first step towards it by identifying what you want to strive for.

[QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Oh come on. It is not beyond reason for a console to support more than one default controller, it is the norm. What you are exaggerating is well beyond logical reasoning.

Sgt_Crow

Do you know exactly how the Wii U works? You don't even know the restrictions with this kind of hardware because it's not been done before...
With your logic we should be able to make flying cars because we already have airplanes and we already have cars.

We can make flying cars...it just has the bad things of both cars and planes so no one wants them

[QUOTE="young80s"]Except IGN HAD to know that The Conduit didn't deliver and decided to reward them based on the effort and the "Hardcore" direction as viewed by them. They sold their impartiality for the faint hope that HVS would start a trend in developers for the Wii. Thats wrong no matter how you look at it. Also whether or not GS or other sites do similar things for HD games if irrelevant in regards to whether its the right thing to do or not. That being said I think the major HD games usually deliver when the game sites rant about how its going to be a major game. Sepewrath

Here's where you go wrong, its called preference. Perhaps they actually liked the game, you know its possible for someone to like a game even if you don't. And I seriously doubt that HVS got preferential treatment, because what do they have to offer, The scoop on their next movie game? They are a tiny developer who was working with Sega, there was nothing to be gained there by pushing a product they felt was sub par. And the hype campaign by the media for games like GTA IV and MW2 which did not deliver for many people is not irrelevant. And its much more likely that those games on the HD console are receiving this unfair push that your so against.

So unless your against all of it, you would be quite the hypocrite to be against it in this one situation. It all comes back to that preference thing, maybe they hyped MW2 because they were generally excited for it, its believable right? Maybe IGN hyped The Conduit because they were generally excited for it, but I guess that's not possible because you didn't like it, right? Sorry the real world doesn't work that way. I though GTA IV was one of the worst games I ever played, but clearly alot other liked it. If you feel frustrated or betrayed because you got run over by the hype train, well let it be a life lesson, to not make choices by group mentality. But clearly its a lesson not learned by many.

Regardless of whether you liked it, it had many problems that as a professional game site IGN had to have known would reduce the final product. GTA IV and MW 2 come from developers who have earned their stripes but the reason why I said it was irrelevant is because even if these games were receiving unfair treatment, it wouldn't make it the right thing to do as an unbiased site. Tri-enforcer said he didn't see what IGN did wrong and then turned around and brought up the treatment of other games in different sites as if it was unfair to the Wii. Your argument about me kinda is my point about why its irrelevant. You also seemed to miss that the reason given for the score it got, (this is by HVS fans) is that IGN was pushing an agenda because of the "Hardcore" effort that The Conduit appeared to be. They also bought in very early on making it difficult for them to shoot it down like most other sites did. They gave it a much higher score than most other sites and also happened to be the main medium that the advertising had come from that didn't happen with GTA IV and MW 2. And don't get all preachy about life lessons, there are always some people who get waaaay hyped for things and people who try to tell them that they should keep their hopes down. It happens in all fields but one that would be relevant to the Wii boards would be E3 conferences. The difference is this time the people on the hype train have gotten blindly defensive about and have started saying things like "You can't judge a developer by his past accomplishments" which is ridiculous cause you can and most will. This just means that the developer needs to prove itself.

[QUOTE="Sepewrath"]

My point exactly! Someone sees the light around here.

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

Ok I see game sites like GS and IGN over hyping just about every major HD game that comes out. But no one is saying anything about that. Along comes a Wii game that tries hard and is given the spotlight, and people cry favoritism towards it. Booowhooo!

Tri-Enforcer

When is the last time a game dev had a deal with a review web site to get exclusive content if they advertised the crap out of it?

IGN had that with the Conduit

Lol, you don't even know what you're talking about. IGN was not the only site that had special promo deals with HVS for The Conduit. Also, what's wrong with a site showing enthusiasm for a game that they like. It happens all the time with HD games. Once again you are making it seem as if HVS or IGN lie to us, when they merely gave their own opinion of what they think. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean they conned you out of your money. People take their dislike for certain things a bit too far. My goodness. You act as if they mugged you in an alley.

@ Young80s

This applies to your comment also.

I don't hate them, there just is no reason to have any expectations for them at all. All their promises must be tempered with the knowledge that they said that The Conduit would look at least like an early 360 game, would raise the bar visually (on the wii), all while saying that the other games on the wii showed a lack of effort and polish. Well most agree that The conduit did not raise the bar visually, does not look anything like 360 graphics even early ones, and the finished product either had a lack of effort or polish. You can understand the frustration that there are still so many HVS hype threads when there are so many more deserving efforts and quality titles on the wii
