Wow, y'all have a lot of great ideas. "Song of Ice and Fire" would be epic as well as Lian Hearn's "Tales of the Otori" Sci fi fans would love "Ender's Game" I brought up the topic of the forum because "The Witcher" was a great PC RPG based on literary works. I too am hoping Dante's Inferno is successful.- Happy Gamming!

Of all the great literary work out there, which one do YOU think could make a great game?

My personal choice would be Stphen King's "Dark Tower" series. A bit western meets fantasy. It could be an RPG or an adventure game.

Resident Evil 5 Vs. Dead Space. Both games claim the horror genre title, but lets be honest Resident Evil 5 is not scary. It has moments of high tension, panic, and the occasional (albeit brief) pop outs that stir you to jump a little. But this works for RE5 because it is a well known formula for the series and at the end of it all it really is a well polished great game. Now Dead Space is scary, (keeping in mind that you play it at night with the surround sound up and a bottle of Jolt cola). The atmosphere is claustrophobic (in a good way) your character never knows whats around the next corner and its always usually pretty dark. RE5 takes place mostly outside, DS takes place in unknown cramped environments. These design elements can add a lot to a story and "moment to moment" encounters for both games. So which is the better game? Comparing DS to RE5 is like comparing the movie "Alien" to "28 Days later" One is a thriller both psychological and physical while the other is high tension run n' gun panic. Different people get scared by different things, so choose your medicine. Dead Space will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand, while Resident Evil 5 will make you feel panic and high adrenaline. What type of horror gamer are you?
