Damn this looks pretty even so far. I have to say I enjoyed the infamous demo more but can see the gameplay getting repetitive. Uncharted sounds like it has a great story but that's pretty difficult to pick up from jsut the demo. I'm sure I will eventually end up getting both. Which one should I get first though?
Damn I should really beat Eternal Sonata before I pick up another game. Does ES get any better? I am about 2-3 hours in and am struggling to keep playing...
I am looking to pick up a new game before I start school again. Both of these games interest me and the demos have kept me entertained. They are both at my local disc replay. Should I pick up infamous ($42) or Uncharted ($32)? Which one will provide more bang for my buck?
whats your PSU? and how many watts is it? I had a very similair problem, with the same 8600GT card, and i swapped my 200watt with a 500watt and no more problems. Just milling around ideas. if you have a 200watt or lower it could well be the problem.

It's a 550 Watt
if you have (pci-e x16) a (pci-e x16 2.0) video card will work. there backwards compatible.

Thank you. I did not know that. Am I going to see a drop in performance though?
Ok. This is where I am really going to need your help. If I buy a mobo/vid card combo off of newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.187904
Will that motherboard support my old processor:

My old memory:

My old hard drive ( I would assume this wouldn't be a problem but wanted to double check.)
Also how good of a deal is this mobo and vid card. Card seems very nice with 1gb ram and an hdmi port. What do you guys think? If it's $250 to upgrade I'll consider it, but if I have to buy new ram, a new processor, and a new hard drive like I had to last time I upgraded my PC then forget it. Thanks a lot for your help. Your saving me a lot of money.
This is why I hate computers. Apparently my motherboard that is less than two years old does not support pcie x16 2.0 cards...
So is it really worth it to buy another motherboard or just get an older card for cheap?
This for 139 with MIR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161268MonsieurX
And I tend to shy away from Radeon cards. Then again, my nvidia has apparently crapped out after 18 months of use (no overclocking either)
Here is my current MoBo:

Does that mean I can or cannot use the twoaforementionedvideo cards?
Check your motherboard manual to see what the beeps mean.

It's definitely a video car beep. Only thing is that while reseating it last time fixed it and it is not fixing it now. Is it shot? Any other way to tell? It's the only pc in the house. There's no way it's a motherboard thing, right?
So about four months ago I began having this strange problem. My computer would turn on, I would get no video and would get a series of beeps. One long beep and three short beeps. After reseating the video card multiple times, Everything worked fine again. Well I had the same problem again today only after countless attempts at reseating, swatching pci-e slots, and changing the dvi cord, I am still getting the one long beep and three short beeps. Is my video card shot? It's only about 18 months old. Could it be a MoBo problem? That is also around 18 months old.
And if I do need a new video card, what is the best bang for the buck I can get with around $150?
How's this bad boy?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130339
My specs:
ASUS M2N-E SLI
Geforce 8600 GT
So, if I stil have my hard copy of FFVII from release is there any point of me buying it on the PSN? i.e. better graphics or atleast widescreen play?
