In the mean time, where can I get some quality TV viewing through the Wii. I have a new LCD HDTV but not HD cable service, so I was hoping to use my Wii to get some nice programming through the internet. Anybody knows where can I go for this that is accessible through the Wii opera browser?

I want to be able to watch TV shows from abc.com but when I click on the show a message pops up saying that the version of flash player cannot be found? Is there somewhere I can go to download what I need?

Some of you may know this already but I just found out and it was a surprise to me. I was reading an article where the wiimote was dissected and it was found that it has an "audio translator chip". This means that a mic adaptation could be possible for a future game. Some Mario Karaoke perhaps!?!

Note: the chip I am talking about is not for the speaker (just in case)

The tv was the sensor bar to the zapper. Learn how the zapper worked and you will see why projection tvs and hdtvs don't work with light guns unless they gasp have a sensor bar.

That sucks! We should all turn in our HDTV's so we can get rid of that nasty sensor bar.

I was just wondering... is the sensor bar just for detecting the wii pointer???  And if so, then why is it really needed??? Didnt we have around 25 yrs ago some technology in the NES that did the same without the need of a "sensor bar" (ie. the Zapper).

I could be wrong (if it indeed serves another purpose that makes that clumsy thing and its endlessly long cable neccessary)

Well I am going to be renting and those three ( Metal slug, Elebits, excite truck) are the only ones available that I thought would be fun for many people, especially taking into account that some of them are kids.

So I would appreciate the answer being one of those three, since they are my only options:

Personally I am leading towards Excite truck, even though the video store guy keeps insisting what a good game metal slug is (but it isnt even a "real" wii game if you know what I mean)

Thanks for all the recommendations so far

Some family members are coming over to my house including two cousins (7 and 12 yrs old). I wanted to hear from you which of these games would be easy to pick up for them and have fun. I have only two controllers:

Metal slug, Excite truck, Elebits,  Sonic (this one is right now unavailable since it is rented)
