@sladakrobot: Yes, it absolutely is. And yes, the game is buggy when an update is first launched (not something that is unique to NMS). But they tend to release a flurry of updates in the preceding weeks that iron it all out. So you may want to wait a few weeks until the bugs are patched out (although I haven't experienced any that are game breaking, just small annoyances).
It's hard to believe people are still butt hurt over the launch when this company has gone above and "Beyond" to make this game great, all while not charging a cent for any of it. And it absolutely is a great game at this point. There is so much to do it's almost overwhelming.
I get that the game isn't everyone's cup of tea. Probably not enough constant action for many, but believe me when I say, the game is fantastic now. I've put in hundreds of hours between the PC and PS4 version since launch. Well worth it.
@ZIMdoom: You do realize that George Lucas gave all of the money he made in the sale of Star Wars to charity right? Cut him some slack for Gods sake. People are so critical of the guy it's insane.
And the only movie Fox had any significant input in was the original since they financed it. But it was still his movie through and through. I agree that the prequels went off the rails a bit but they aren't as bad as everyone loves to believe. Especially Revenge of the Sith which, outside of some horrible love dialog, was a very entertaining movie.
Glad to see EVE finally got a fair review from this site. I played this game from 2003-2005 and had a wonderful time. Haven't been back in years (mainly because I just don't have time for MMO's anymore like I did in college) but it's a great game that sounds like it's gotten even better with age.
