Only reason is, AMD seems to be cheaper then intel. I thought they don't have much difference between the two other then that Intel is more widely known so they raise their prices according to the demand for them. I know the Intel Cores do their job better, but isn't it better to get the slightly worse AMD and save some money?

Im not dead set on getting AMD, so if you guys can explain why the intel chips are worth going for, ill maybe switch to intel.

I guess the same thing can go for the gtx 580. If you find good 6970 or something that would be fine too. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks again guys.

Hey guys, I've been looking at getting a new pc for the past week and I'm looking for suggestions for a new desktop. My old computer broke and I'm looking at getting a good one that will last me for the next five years or so.

I want an AMD processor, a new case, 4gb or more ram, and a 580 gtx (for bf3 obviously 8) ). Please mind, I'm living in Canada so I don't know what websites you guys would use. Newegg.ca doesn't seem as good as the US website, and Memoryexpress.com doesn't seem too bad.

Also note that I don't need windows 7-64bit and a dvd drive as I will use those in my new build. Thanks for your time guys.

Edit: I knew I forgot something, My budget is around 950-1100$ Canadian.

I didn't need to buy new speakers. I took the adapter and plugged it into the blue input (beside the green one that you plug your computer speakers into) and I have sound. The only downside is that you have to turn on your computer for sound (and your speakers) That works for me anyway.

I plug the jack into the back of my computer. It's the blue input beside the green one (the one you plug you're speakers into). You got to turn on your computer also which kinds sucks, but that's how I get sound with my VGA.
