Halo is one of the most beloved franchises on the xbox it has been there since day one. However a new franchise gears of war has showed up. With two games and a movie in the works it seems gears is starting to outshine halo in a sense. Well i am going to state my thoughts on which is better Gears or Halo. I Still i love both of these games. There both very good and fun to play now lets dive in. STORY: This is the most important factor so i am doing this first. Halo is very basic Humans find aliens and aliens don't like them so the aliens try to kill them. But as the story goes it starts to become more complex and more interesting. So you get that build up to the story. Gears however was pretty interesting from the start. The things come out of the ground and want to take over the world by killing all the humans. The story pans out nicely with twists and turns everywhere. But you still have those moments where everything cools down for a brief moment before throwing more at you. So this was hard for me because i like Halo's simplicity and i liked how gears would always be throwing something at you to keep playing. Winner:Gears Gameplay: The most important out of everything gameplay. This one isn't really fair because there two completly different games Halo being a first person shooter and Gears being a third person shooter. Gears has always had that cover system that everybody had to start ripping off now. But Epic made it very simple A does everything. A puts you in cover,lets you roll,pick something up. This helped with the gameplay to make it simple and fun to play. However it can get annoying if you want to do something but it does something else. The cover system is still very fun and enjoyable. Halo is the best game i have ever played. It's so fun so crazy to play online everything is fun. Even your own death is enjoyable. Also the fact that Halo has been here longer was able to get the feedback they needed to change the gameplay up. Halo is very simple shot anything that moves and it works Gears is fun and Halo is fun but Halo is much better gameplay wise. Winner:Halo Graphics: This is not that important but still good to notice. Both games look good However Gears looks better. Gears does everything perfectly the lighting the facial animations, the backgrounds, the levels. Everything looks very good and i really feel like i am looking at a next gen Game. Halo does look good but it's not great. The biggest problem are the people. I just think with the xbox360 you would be able to do so much better then what was actually produced. Winner:Gears Characters: This is the last. Halo and Gears have a very wide arrange of characters in there games. Gears could have won but they had one flaw. THEY KILL EVERYONE. I mean really every new character they introduce it going to die go missing or be unimportant. Halo manages to keep there characters through the games. Also halos characters seem to be more well rounded. In Gears all the characters seem to have a single personality. Marcus is always pissed Dom is always crying about is wife. Baird is a smart ass Cole is very enthusiastic and bot carmines are dead. Halo characters are more realistic. Since Halo got 2 and Gears got 2 i guess it's up to me to decide which is better? Well i have to say Halo. It's just a better al around game while Gears is great in some parts but flops in others
