SSX 3 has been sitting around for months collecting dust, ever since I picked it up used. However, over the past week its gotten a lot of playtime in the PS2. The all peaks race on Peak 3 was crazy, but I raced it in 26 minutes (out of the 30 minutes they give you), after building up Elise's attributes to 11's. Now Andy's into the game and he's really getting good, so he's got his own profile and he's building up the attributes for various characters. Today we spent a couple of hours working on Kaori's attributes (up to 7s).

I deliberated over the purchase of the XBOX 360, but eventually decided to wait until there's a "must-have" game for the system. I figure its gonna' be about a $700 purchase, after the main hardware, games, accessories, and sales tax.
So, I bought a few games that I've had my eye on...for the regular XBox (including Forza Motorsport and Fry Cry Instincts). I've gotten a lot of playtime in on Far Cry. Cool game. Oh yeah, I also picked up Timesplitters at Wal-Mart. It was in the glass case, marked at only $10. It was a lot of work getting it for that price, though...it actually rang up at $49 at the register. The cashier had to call the checkout supervisor, and he was a dick...not a total dick, though. He finally gave it to me for the $10 (as well he should have). Anyway, this is the best TimeSplitters yet.

I finally beat Halo 2 this week--took me about a year to do that! Awesome game. If they had come out with Halo 3 for the XBox 360, I would have figured out a way to get the system. There are just so many cool moments in the Halo games. None as fine as the moment you see the credits roll, though...
