i just recently purchased a PS3 and needless to say it rocks, the only downside is my tv. Im working with a standard 480 res. tv set, and i can safely say its time to upgrade to HD. To be honest i dont really know jack about the whole HD tech stuff, so after a little bit of research i think ive narrowed it down to a TV that i COULD be happy to game with.

 so.. i guess what im asking is, would this TV be suitable for a kick ass PS3 gaming experience? I know that 1080p is better than 720p (this tv is 720), but ive also read alot of times the difference is questionable, does it really make THAT big of a difference? Also ive heard many horror stories about a problem on HDTVs known as game lag, this tv has a feature called game mode that is "supposed" to correct these problems, does it really work? And also if this TV is not up to par, can anyone recommend a HDTV in the same price range that would be better?

yesterday (april 14) i purchased a brand new 60gb PS3 and a copy of Call of Duty 3. After setting it up and what not i started to play the game, then the "fun" began. Every 10-15 min. into playing CoD3 my ps3 would totaly shut down (not just restart, it would crash, the red stand-by light would even be off). After having this happen mutiple times my PS3 finally totaly crapped out 100%, it wouldnt even turn on or anything, so today i returned the system for a brand new diff. one. And seeing as my first one died with my CoD3 inside the system, the store gave me a copy of Resistence F.O.M. seeing as they did not have any copies of CoD in stock. Well, after bringing the new system home and setting it all up again, ive played resistence for multiple hours and there has been no sign of any problems. BUT a few moments ago my buddy came over with his copy of CoD3, we put it in and THE SAME THING happened!!!..the crashing of my PS3. Does anyone know what the prob could be because i dont think 2 diff PS3's would crash off 2 diff copies of the same game. Im hookin my Ps3 up to a standard TV (480 res) with the basic out of the box composite cables if that info helps......any1 know whats up?
